Hi All!
I can't say I would be comfortable letting my child go off like that at that age! To start with they are not 'developmentally'mature enough to cope with alot of it..especially not the lonliness. But maybe you do have the rare exceptions. Don't get me wrong, the teen years are huge in so many ways, but WOW! A brave girl! Braver parents!
But then I find it difficult to understand parents who let their school-leaving teens go off to an island holiday/party with cash & alcohol & nil supervision, and then look shocked when someone gets hurt or drowns!!! But that's just me!
Ronnie- yup we are at 39 degrees with hot eaterlys that feel like an oven when you step outside. Have just had the wee chicks in the blow up pool out the back and now inside for a seista!!!
This weather dosen't overly inspire me to get all hot and sweaty doing something active, but I do need to get back into my exercise routine. In saying that, while I was at the pool with DD (aged 4.5 yrs),I did heaps of tummy and leg work as I lolled about waiting to see if the teacher was going to be able to keep my distractable daughter under control! So not a total loss!
I just remembered one of the things I most dislike about summer, the feeling of intense shock and agony you get when you lean up against you scolding hot seatbelt buckle as you get into the car!!!urgh!!!!ouch!
Chook
