    THE NEXT DAY THREAD, October

Tawny .... I miss the old avatar!! As yu can see you cant plese everyone!!

my cat is lying with her paws and head on the lap top key board ... so have had to go and get the wireless one so as nt to disturb her!!! Any typos are hers!

Am completely buggered after a long day doing stuff and cleaning. Uncle Mame has dinner with his daughter tonight, so I have a lovely evening ahead of me ... about to have a bath with lavender oil in it, and then off to the spare bed that gets the last afternoon/early evening sun and hopefully will fall asleep not too far into my new book!!

Angel - relying on you to start No-bender thread ......... I would do except Sunday is my sea swim morning and I want to follow it up with a bike ride tomorrow as long as the weather stays nice.

    have a good night everyone!!

(Mame - it's ok - old avatar will be back shortly.) You sound like you've been going like the clappers. An early night with a good book is one of life's great pleasures.

It got to about 33C here today and I had a great morning with a couple of hours ride-on mowing and then some hand mowing, mulching (of course) and generally set-dressing my 'sit-in-the-shade-and-think' area. Sounds too wanky to call it My Zen Garden.

One of my favourite movies is on at 6.30 - The World's Fastest Indian so after that, I expect I shall be zonked but will no doubt stick my head in here to see who's up and playin'.

Tawny, the zen garden sounds great. Betty cat-76* (that was her on the key board for the last 4 characters!!) loves gardening and chilling out amongst the plants.

OMG I'm sounding like one of those crazy cat ladies, Please be assured that in real life I own a real company and do real work!!!

          Oh dear.
I have five of them, all adopted. One LOVES gardening. I'll be down on all fours, pulling weeds when she leaps out from where she's been sleeping/hiding/watching and pounces on my weeding-then-bleeding hand.

Rest assured is right. In real life I also used to own a company and used to do real work.

          Now I humour cats.

But I'm proud to say ... they're all desexed.

Ha ha !!!! WE have had lots of contacts with neighbour hood kids since we have been fostering kittens. I usually detest Halloween (please no offense to our US MWO friends here!!!! I love tradition!! Halloween just isn't one of ours!!) But because I know them now, and also because their parents want to know that they are safe when they knock on doors, a "zone" has been established which is about where they are allowed to do their trick and treating.

Anyway, they just arrived en masse .... and I was prepared for them, but what was really sweet was that they bought halloween ping pong balls for the kittens!!!! Orange ones with black stars on !!!!!!!

                        Evening folk's!
Wouldn't be hard to play a prank on aussie commercial radio, Tip. They are stooopid, stooopid, stoopid.

I get a similar reaction Supermodel T, most of the year, as i'm a little brown too. People say, gee, you look tanned, but it's only cause i'm an outdorr's bloke. Not one for frying in oil on a feckin towel!
Watching 'world's greatest indian' right now. Thank's for the reminder. There is life after 50! Cool!

                            Evenin all.

I love cats, but haven't had one in Singers. Will be the first addition to the household when we move on to somewhere more sensible though.

I'm enjoying my weekend so far, good party last night - 3 a.m finish, trifle went down well. Poor Teen1 had waited up for us bless him.

As far as tan goes, I don't spend a huge amount of time outdoors because of the humidity, but swimming and dog walking have left me with a veritable patchwork of skin shades and some 'dark spots' on my face that the hairdresser always thinks are stray dye and tries to rub off.......

                            Take Care All,

Good to hear your w/kend's going well. I like Singerpore. Fond memories of a 2 week residency in one of the Irish theme bar's, and all that goes with it.

Yep ST, Bert's still got it, alright! His record was still standing for 1000 cc bikes and under at time of movie release. Inspirational on a few front's for a one day to be ageing biker like meself.....;-)
