Time for me to get my ass in gear and in the car to daughter's house. It's been a heck of a month for me, some real highs and low lows. But the good news is my daughter feels she can depend on me again, leaning on me during this scary violation of their home. All I have to do is read today's news to know it's time for us to count our blessings, all of our loved ones are safe and healthy. Obvoiusly the Naltrexone isn't working for you. There are several meds you can take, try another one...BUT, the medication is only as good as your will power. There is no miracle drug out there. You have to start the fight. YES, I KNOW that is so so hard to do. There isn't a one of us on this thread that doesn't know that fight, but you can do it.

Blonde, sorry to have missed you yesterday - I was away. Britt is so right; we have to fight this thing. We didn't get to our stage overnight. We had to work at it. Hindsight is crystal clear, but no help at all. I hope you find the fight med to help you fight the urge. Look on some of the other threads that specialize on medications. But one thing you can get, just for the asking, is support and people who understand what your going thru. Be confident, and determined. There's no magic bullet, but there is magic in the people here who offer themselves and their battles so you can understand your not alone.

I agree, even on baclofen, I need to want to stay sober more than I want to drink (although I can moderate if I do !!!!)..........that is why I am getting ready to go to an AA meeting.

Where is everyone ???

Well I start one job on Tuesday, and faxed my CV(resume) into an ENT (ear nose and throat) office for (of all things a receptionist job) and they need a nurse for a new doc coming aboard in a few months, which they hadn't even advertised for(were just thinking about hiring someone now to have them trained by the time he starts?!)) what a weird thing.... Anyway I won't find out anything until Tues, so will just pray for God's will (thank god for AA)

Had a dissapointing day otherwise, but ok, heading to a meeting now....

I am SICK today. Head hurts, stomach upset...I HATE this feeling. I feel hungover but haven't even drank a thing. Man, does make me grateful I am not waking up like this every day anymore. I feel like crying...BIG OL' BABY!!! I wanted to go see a movie and out to eat, but not feeling like this.

OK, troops, its a busy week for me. I'm limiting my time here to get outside a bit more, but I'll be checking in. Love you all to bits, and I'm not gone, just busy!
