Brittany's fever broke last night. I THINK after 2 weeks...we are FINALLY on the mend. This flu has been a nightmare. Then turning in to pneumonia...she has been one sick little girl.

I wish we could ALL meet!!! We have certainly shared a lot here.

'Mornin, all. We made it through the work week (actually, these days we work all days and hours!), and at least the weekend looks absolutely stunning here. I talked to T last night, and he says his son his very excited about their trip. I think T is too, and hope it is all they are hoping for. If he doesn't get a chance to post and i hear from him, I'll update everyone. We all know how it feels to get a break in our routine when things have been tough. I have errands to run this AM, then thhink I'll work in the yard. I have some huge staghorn ferns that need potting for the winter, as well as my rabbits foot fern. Anyway, have a good day, shifters. Take some time today to be good to yourself - some alone time just for you.

I have had time to realize what a blessing it is to not have to work at that place anymore...like trying to fit a circular piece into a square puzzle if that makes sense!? I am very relieved in a way since that place did add so much stress to my life......sometimes $$ is not worth your sanity/happiness.......

Hope T is having a blast!! Ruby, I will definitely take some time to smell the roses today, heading to Costco, then an Asian festival in town, a swim meeting at 2pm, then horseback riding at 5!!!!!! What a joyous day!!!!! Hope you all have one too!!!!!

OK, gonna take my own advice and go out antiqueing for a while. (Like I need ANYTHING else in any of my houses!) Something, anything, to get me off my ass and moving. Who knows what treasures I might discover?!Hubs won't be home for at least 4 more hours, and I can't get into doing anything around here, not that I don't need to. Oh well, I'm off into the unknown, armed only with my debit card!
BTW, I had this vivid dream last night we'd bought tract house in a subdivision, only about 5 feet from the next houses. It was nice, but all I could think of was how horrible it was going to be living in the little cookie cutter design. I kept wondering how to get out of going thru with actually buying it, and couldn't figure out why Hubs wanted to live there so much! (I've always lived in the country).

I love antiqueing!!!!!! One of the other members has an antique jar that she calls her "God Jar". She writes on a little piece of paper whatever her prayer or problem is that she is turning over to God and puts it in her jar. I think it is a beautiful idea. I want to take my kids on a search for a "God Jar".

Rise and Shine, Shifters!!! Thats what my daddy used to say just before he pulled off all our covers and started pounding us with our pillows! How I hated that then, but would loved to revisit it just once. Sunday mornin's all around us - what are we going to make of this day? I'll be doing some chores around here, then down to the family farm to start some landscaping I've been planning. BTW, Britt, I found a very old oak round-front curio cabinet yesterday. Tagged at $250, I offered $200, and the owner called me later and accepted. Its something I've been looking for for years, and I love old oak pieces. Will pick up Thursday. Hubs growled, off course, but that's his job. I've collected several very nice antique cherry and mahogony pieces, but oak is my favorite. Anyway, enough about me - what are YOUR plans for the day? I love to hear about your lives.
