    Notes from the parking lot

Look in the rear view mirror to back out of my space. See man get little boy from back seat. Daddy wants to hold son's hand to navigate a busy parking lot. Little boy is stabby (:H) and yanks hand away. I'm thinking "he want to be a big boy" but just continue to watch. They en up in a tussle of huggy wiggly stufff and daddy puts him on the trunk and tickles till he squeals in delight. I think shoot, I wish I'd had babies but too late now. and I get out of the car as they are walking by and tell the daddy how lovely it was to watch that and that it was the highlight of my day. He winks and says "mine too".

Sweet story. It really is the smallest of moments that can mean the most.

Mine is bigger than me now but we still have our "tickle fights".....except now he wins

          Greenie,

I used to tickle or just give my son a big hug to stop him from having a tantrum.........

Greenie, after my grands got older when I took them places I'd get them all strapped in the car then walk around in front and do this silly, geeky dance. The older one would just melt down in the seat giggling!

Reminds me when Brittany was a baby, she loved for her daddy to whistle. I have no diea why, but she thought that was the funniest thing in the world. She would just laugh and laugh. I mean a big belly laugh and she was a lil baby. Makes me smile just thinking about it.
