Good morning Folks,
I slept like a log again and I'm feeling great.
I have a funeral Mass this morning. My friends sister who was walking about reasonably healthy two weeks ago died of stomach cancer on Monday. She was only 50. I didn't know her very well but she was a lovely lady.
I'm really getting into online chess. It's a good brain work-out, but mine's not working yet. I'm losing about two thirds of the games I play, but I'm learning all the time.

So sorry for friend Pops. Cancer is a bastard. It took my bestie mate 4 years ago so I've got no one to play with now.

As for chess isn't all about horsies and prawns and really hard stuff.

My 2 kids have played since they were about 6 ( pretentious little a.... I mean sweethearts).

I had to beg them to wait until their dad got home to sort out any arguments.

It just hasn't clicked.

I can play a mean hand of poker though.

Good Morning Army and all to come from a dark blustery Dublin , you all sound in good positive form. Starty have a great week end with the outlaws on the coast. I am off to physio with my gammy shoulder which is much improved. The painter is coming this morning to look at what work he has to do so I better get my ass in gear and tidy up, wouldnt want to let the side down
