    Eating the Rind V Not?

Okay, who eats the rind of their Brie and who doesn't?

I eat the rind but very reluctantly. Too much of a pain to take it off. Kate, sorry we could not chat more tonight. Timing was off I guess. Hopefully another night. Are you not a full day ahead or is it more like 12 hours...???

Kate, yer one of me favourite Aussie sheilas, but, no love, the blue veins don't count.

And, would you sheila's mind takin' yer gossipin' elsewhere... this is a serious discussion.

          Options

Wait a minute, is not eating the rind an option?

Full disclosure: I volunteer to eat the bread from the ends of the loaf (is there a name for those pieces?) so I may not be the ideal candidate for this survey.

            Sorry Kanga

Forgot the question for a moment ...

Yes - I do eat the rind .... BUT ... I never inhale.

Tawn, live outside the square love, inhale.

Right, the Kanga has pressing business issues to deal with tonight but will get back to this rather serious exchange in the fullness of time.

Beryl, life is full of options.

                Beryl,
The outside ends of the bread are referred to as the "heels" and yes, I agree, they are the best part. Especially with sourdough bread.

If the brie cheese is cold, I eat most of the rind reluctantly because it's too difficult to get off.
It the brie cheese is warm, I peel it off and just spread the yummy gooey stuff on the heel of my sourdough bread. Yum. With roasted garlic.

                Time for breakfast!

I eat it without when I buy it already encroute with cranberries and walnuts to cook in the oven...yum! Otherwise, small slices with unless I'm putting it in a salad or sandwich then I have to take the rind off. Truth be told though...a nice camembert is a bit milder but still have to deal with the rind!

I particularly like the rind when you eat the cheese plain

Have to agree on that one......I have grown up some in my cheese selection.
How about some chili-cheese-fries? Of course not for me, but grandkids love them....get them at Johnny Rockets in the USA! You have to try ther cheese burger too!

Yes to rind but must be some brie with it, not JUST rind.

I was not sure if I did or didn't.... and after reading about all this cheese I went out and got some..baked it and got some nice crusty bread. Verdict...yep eat the rind.

literally eating it right now...yum...and watching the Food Network.
