I just had to let it go

Rain in My Heart Documentary
Hi All
I found this very disturbing and sad. I didn't want this to be me, ever.
I agree AL should have a POISON label and we should educate everyone on what damage it can do.
Glad to be AL free today and heading for day 12 tomorrow
HAllen Carr’s book changed everything for me. The easyway to control alcohol. Highly recommended

Rain in My Heart Documentary
I've watched all of the episodes. All I can say is how naiive of the journalist. He went home with the lady in her early 40s and was surprised she already had a bottle of vodka stashed. What was even worse was that he sat around, gave her attention whilst she drank. How many of us loved that attention when we were drinking?A captive audience for our ramblings. Then when he knocked over her drink he ran around like a skivvy and apologising.
AHEM! If she wasn't drinking there wouldn't have been a glass there for him to knock over, and she might have been able to wipe it up herself.
That was the worst bit for me.
Apart from that it did help me seeing that particular woman since she is just 7 years old than myself and looked in her 60s as a result of her drinking (I don't smoke!). I have kept my looks despite my drinking, but I have no-doubt that would be what I would look like if I kept on going to her age.
I just hope she gets to her rock bottom before she dies as she clearly didn't want to give up - I've seen people like that and at one point it was me. Thank goodness I've gotten to my get off point well as far as today is concerned as I don't know what is around the corner for any of us.
