    everyone looks so healthy and normal...i expected a bunch of whacked out red nosed alcoholics...are you people pulling my leg!!??

    ok ok, that wasn't me with the surgeries...but this is...gulp.

        Yep - we're a good looking group alright. From what I can tell we're normal, everyday people who have a common problem. None of us have 'Alkie' tattooed on our heads, or have a third eye, or have a bulbous red nose as Peace point out.

        Kinda puts everything into a little different light, doesn't it?

          Maslow - I'm also in IL. :yougo: for good old fashioned Midwest USA Sobriety, eh? I liked your post about keeping your family your high priority. I think if you make sobriety your absolutely daily #1 priority, then all else will work itself out favorably. Not that the journey is always smooth, but sober we can pick a path to a better place.

          Thanks for the kind words. We'll see how this ends up, but it can only get better is what I truly believe. And yes, Midwest living sure is something At least we have some warmer temps today!!

            This is one of the best threads I have seen. You guys are all very brave and should be very proud. And might I add everyone one of you is gorgeous!
            For me... not there yet....still a bit of a chicken in sheeps clothes.

                All you handsome men!!!! And you girls with the fab hair!!!!!! I'm shrinking further into my alias closet. LOL!! You are are beautiful, truly. It is a wonderful thing to be able to come here and lay ourselves bare, open up all those dark corners. I believe its something we all have in common, the secrecy, the hiding of our addiction. This was the first place, a year ago, I could actually tell my secrets without judgement. I feel the same way about the pictures. We can hide our faces, but we can shine here, because in our common goal, we are all beautiful!
