    Army Thread 19th October

    Good morning lovelies!

Today I am feeling incredibly grateful to be sober, to be able to see things rationally, to be able to deal with difficult situations and know that they pass.
Most of all, I am so very grateful to have my life back. Actually, scrap that, to HAVE a life that I enjoy and want to live.

    Thank you :l

      Good Morning Starty.
Thanks for the thoughtful words and reminding me why I come here.
I too am grateful to have my life back and to be able to live it in a decent and productive way again. I struggled this weekend, but I made it through and I feel good today. It would be easy to pretend that I'm all better and that drinking isn't such a bad thing. For me, it is and I'm not going back to where I don't want to wake up in the morning. I'm trying to live a simple life and I like it this way.
I hope you all have a great Monday.

            Good morning Pops and Zeppie.

Pops, I know, some days can feel like that cant they? I doubt we will ever be able to be complacent about our addictions. But I often feel I was lucky to experience them. Sounds mad I know, but without those lows, the highs might not feel as high as they do. In other words, like you, simple things make me really happy.

Zeppers, how are you doing? Any races today?

I guess when we were schickered all the time we overlooked the simple things, I too am loving them again.

              Races tomorrow Starty

You are right Zepps, I always was a bit of a woe is me type and feeling I had been dealt the short straw. Hardly surprising when my brain was mashed.

Morning, Starts, Zeps, Pops & Opes

Stunning day in Cape Town - its going to be 30C today.

Starts: very nice way of launching the thread - thank you And I agree with sentiment 100%

My coffee shop is still closed, but I went to Seattle Coffee Co. instead. So once again the day is saved, thanks to lattes and choc brownies!
                        I'll do whatever it takes

I'm a creature of habit, Zeps

My favourite coffee shop is called "crave" - and for good reason...

I often have lunch there too.

I'm still in "rotate where you shop mode" just like with my liquorstores.
I would hate for people to point at me and say that girl drinks wayyyyyyyy to much coffee
