    STRONG AND LIVING LIFE ON LIFE'S
    TERMS
    AND PASSING MOST TEST
    THAT ARE THROWN AT ME

    STAY STRONG AND KEEP THINKING POSITIVE
    and i just would like to give thankx to everyone

          I have struggled somewhat recently, but 293 sober, content and productive days have passed since I last had a drink.

              NO RULES ..JUST SHOUT OUT SUNDAY

              I spent a beautiful day in Delamere Forest yesterday, (hence the new avatar!) with a good friend. On the way back we stopped off for something to eat at a lovely country pub with low ceilings and old oak beams running through it. Finished the day off with a meeting where I did some service and welcomed a newcomer sharing my experience of addiction with him. So all in all a pretty damn good day yesterday.

              12 months ago:

              I spent the day getting pissed in the woods and making an arse of myself. Kept having to stop every 5 mins to urinate behind a tree then fell in the Lake (probably). On the way home needed more beer, so stopped at at the nearest pub under the pretense of needing food. Got more pissed and don't remember eating anything. Got dropped off near the off license to buy more cans to take home with me. Slopped off to my room with cans hidden in backpack and fell asleep after drinking 2 of them. Woke up at about 3am and started drinking the remaining cans and watching porn online! IF I had any money left would be waiting till 9am till the pub opens so I could get even more beer down my gullet. IF no money would go back to bed in a state of depression and try and sleep the day away. Yesterday would of been just a faint memory.

              Today I'm 9 months sober and remember everything about my day yesterday and it was one of the most uplifting days I've had recently. I'm off to see my mum in hospital this afternoon then visiting the cemetery later to lay some flowers on my dad's grave. I may even hug a tree or two on the way!.

                      SHOUT OUT HURRAY for a wonderful time sober with my grands, and thanking GOD they have parents to go back to!! LOL So many funny tales from the weekend, and Hubs was an angel, right in there helping, even rode on the hayride with them as he knew it would be too painful for me. Great day!!!!
