So different from last week. No day is ever the same and I love that.
Last week I was feeling so unsure and was wondering if I was really cut out for this type of work. This week is a complete turnaround.
Guess I need to keep the faith huh?
Brilliant Starty!! What a difference a day makes, huh? If it makes a d*mn bit of difference, I knew you would excel, my little smoking squirrell!

        Thank you Kriggy!
But you know, these people have some horrible problems. I talked to a guy today who was drinking over a bottle of scotch a day, he had lost 2 stone and he was frightened to leave his house. It was such a brave thing to come down to the drop in centre.

Is this drop in center just for alcoholics or other mental issues also? I don't know of anything like that here in the States....it sounds like an excellent idea, especially for those without "means".

It is an addiction centre, but as with all addictions, often there is underlying mental issues too. Also we try not to turn anyone away, but rather signpost them to places that can help.
