    Support so critical

Hello, day 4 af for me, this is nothing new in itself as I am a binge drinker and tend to hit it on day 3 to 6, what is new however is the fantastic tools, techniques and support found within this forum and how these are helping to break the mind cycle of alcohol abuse and misuse and overcoming cravings.
The rain on my heart doco I found just so powerful, I will be finishing the last 4 episodes over the week-end, however the images and heart breaking realities of the individuals in the film thus far remind me constantly on where alcohol abuse can lead. This helps me so much when a craving hits and my mind tries to reason for just that one drink (which of course it never is).
Writing in my dairy and committing to memory why I dont want to drink and the beauty I find in a sober reality is also extremely comforting to return to. Thank you so much for sharing your intimate stories and moments. I try and read the forums every day to help give me peace and strength to commit to an AF life.
I know I am only in the wader end of the pool but knowing that there is a whole community of support encouraging me on this journey is so immensely important. I hope I too can, in time, pay forward this critical support to others. In the meantime I will be here, as often as possible on my road to healing, sending my strength to those in need. :h

You have a wonderful plan, honey, and it sounds so well thought-out. Yes, come here when all else fails, or just for fun. It's a lifesaver more than once for me. See you on the boards!

Serentiy- It is day 3 af for me so we are the same boat together:wavin:. Finding MWO has helped me tremendously just over the past few days. I look forward to reading more posts as the days go on to give me the strength I need to get through this. Amazingly, I feel really good about being af this time.
Keep in touch and the best of luck to you

          Hi Serenity,
Like Rubes says, your plan is a good one. It is down to the support here that I am sober too.
          You can do this!
Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008
Nicotine Free since 6th February 2009
