THE NEXT DAY THREAD - NOVEMBER
OK Ronnie , let's get you sorted out with these yellow plants.
SOME IDEAS.
1. One of the Hibbertias, for your area Hibbertia cuneiformis (cut leaf hibbertia) 2.5 metres.
2.Eremophila maculata (spotted Emu bush) 1metre.
3. Craspedia glauca (Billy Buttons) 30 cm
4. Any of the wattles good for your area try Acacia drummondii (Drummond's Wattle) 1.5m
5. Yellow Kangaroo Paw.
6.Dryandra praemorsa (cutleaf dryandra) 2-4m
7.Isopogon 'Drumsticks' 1-2m
8. Golden Dollar Bush (buggered if I can remember botanical name)
9.Petalostylis labicheoides (Butterfly Bush) 2-4m
All have bright yellow flowers. Most from WA originally. All native , so they'll go off !
Hope this helps. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Erm going tickety-boo at the moment Angel. I know not to get too confident or it'll bite me in the arse, but I can't help but think that the penny's dropped for me this time. I DO get the grog grumbles mid to late arvo, but a couple of things lately have lead me to the inevitable conclusion that it's all over for me and alcohol.
Firstly I think I have drunk myself into a nice case of recurring gastritis, which eases then flares up. Ironically it makes drinking painful and impossible ....... not that I didn't still try
Secondly, I've had some huge mother F's of bills come in, and simply can't afford it any more.
The signs are all there. But most importantly, I'm enjoying my life MUCH MUCH more without it.
It may have taken me a while, I am after all a slow learner, but I got there. Now I've just got a feck load of hurdles to get over so I can stay here.
Anyway....that'll teach YOUR arse to ask me how I am :H

Evening Underoos
Just been reading.. had a bunch of stuff to say but after reading so many pages it's all gone out of my head. Lovely to see you all and HEY to Mame!
Further: I say NO to a separate garden thread as there are so many of us that find it is such an important part of our lives, especially us women folk (Wavey, I want to marry you!!) :H:H:H

Good one Bridg,
While I was at work, bored out of my feckin brain, I began researching a herb i am interested in... I also found these lovely things to read by one of my fave authors, Jackie French:
Jackie French farming with wildlife
and
Jackie French the magic of groves

Chives/Not Hives!!!!!
I now have parsley and chives growing....I DO NOT HAVE HIVES!!
Just wanted to make that perfectly understood..right then..ahem...onward...
A gardening thread sound cool, but does that mean totally inexperienced green-thumbs can attend Bridge?
My eldest chick has given me her cold..I now am the happy owner of one scratchy throat, for the use of!
On an even grimmer ( is that actually a word..oh well, it is now!) note, what should have been Day 3 AF got side-swiped by a long day at work and then a drive passed bottle-o on the way home....*sigh/groan*...(does that count as embuggerance?) cause I feel like scceaming....BUGGER IT! right now.
Should not be drinking anymore..went for a blood test the other day to have my iron levels checked and low and behold.. they jabbed me three times and ....NO FECKIN' BLOOD!
Not a drop, no flash back, no drips, no bruise..zippo!! Am I a walking corpse???
WTF?????????????????????????????????????????????
Why is that not enough to set me on the straight and narrow?? Any ideas, cause Vampire Chook here is plain confused
