    OK - time for me to light a mozzie coil. The buggers are biting. Gentle rain (yay!!!) and a lovely north-south breeze through the room.

        I could not survive in a suburb, or a city. I miss the convenience, but you'd be surprised at how self-sufficient you can become.

            Sounds perfect. No change here as yet....still and damp...my poor Golden Retreiver puppy...imagine how it's been for her today ?

                  Ruby it's horrible.
                  It's not even summer yet and we're getting bizzarre high temps. There are fire bans in most of the states and it's probably going to get very ugly this summer. As if it wasn't bad enough for the poor Victorian people last fire season. They must be bloody terrified.

                        I'm so sorry, Brig. I can't imagine what that must be like. We had a wonderful, cool, rainy summer, but it's a fluke. I've never experienced the fire problems here.
