        Yes indeedy G'ster... have been wearing out the youtube today! Only thing that gets me through it all.. Kids get bigger'n bigger'n messier'n messier.
        Have you got your high speed connectino yet? Mine slows down in the evening.

            Hey Bridge, I do the full-time work thing & spend every spare moment doing the freakin cleaning woman thing. I sooooooo resent and miss having a social life! Having a life AT ALL!!! But then again, most of the time I put a good face on it.. jeeez I get so tired. Here I am looking for a shoulder at nearly 10pm on Sunday night! I will look like shite in the morning again. Trouble is, i used to be able to get kids off to bed by 8.30 & get an hour to chill ... but now I have to wait till late then stay up extra to get a bit of 'me' time. bum!! :upset:

              Hiya Tippy !
              OMG you are FULL time at work Ficks. Shit I used to do that with two small kids 4 and 2. It destroyed me. I started smashing into things with my car, I was so tired.Then went part time but in my line of work they just expected me to pick up full time work load in part time hours. Numerous phone calls at 3am ... 6am... unable to respond... I had to give it up and go 'povo' on benefits which appalls me.
              Anyway piss moan. Still get the occasional project in to make me feel like I'm respectable :H

                  Oh Bridge,
                  if i didn't do the full time thing we'd have no home whatever.
                  long story but I just have to... drives me bonkers and probably drives me to drink but hell.. I am kinda trapped - It IS actually worth it to have our home and not have to move but.. it is a GRIND!

                        I understand completely Ficks. All of it....and you are still a brilliant Mum to boot....one day we will look back and know that we did our absolute best. How old are your kids ?

                          Bridget, I really worry.. my boy is just 12.. he had a hard time from his dad who was a total control freak & violent etc.. so we spent ages getting away from that and then I've given him heaps of space to be himself.. he's better than ever BUT when I mention housework he just pisses off to the skate park. Darn I'm so unsure whether to apply 'tough love' as he seems to interpret that as 'control' and revert to the bad phase from when his dad was around.. but I can't just let him get away with everything! I'm walking a fine line here.. my sanity also!

                            9 (girl), 12 (boy) & 16 (girl)
                            Teenagers are mind bending for couples! What about lil' ole me on my own... figuring out my own messes plus theirs! Good lord I need guts of iron.
                            I do not kid myself - finding a new partner is really not on the cards for me. I need to provide sanity & security after all the rubbish we've had. All their teachers & friends tell me they are sooo much better off now we are on our own. I'd not risk anything again.. awww maybe when I'm 65?

                              I'm NOT going to preach Ficks, but you may have a unique opportunity to show Mr 12....Mine is 12 too....that control can be a good thing if it comes from within, and in a positive way....ie: we all live together here and therefore have to pitch in to make this a positive experience. Show him how to do it...loads of praise when he does it right....letting him know that it makes you both feel better when things are in order ( in a calm way) giving both of you a small reward for all your hard work.... creating a positive association with order ( I have also lived with a control friek....think 'Living with the Enemy' Julia Roberts)
