adolecence

This is me & my girl before the nightmare of adolecence kicked in....

never could've believed that such a sweet girl could turn into the devil child out of the exorsist..!!:shocked:

luckily come thru it both alive after three years of hell...and AL didn't help..

she's 19 in January and returned to being a loving young lady and stopped attacking for the AL problem and is now supporting me coz she knows I really mean it this time,

showed her this site and my posts and your replies and she said "oh mum wish you found MWO ages ago it's just what you needed, I am so proud of you mum".

she never used to be proud of me.. and she was right not to be..

Oh what a lovely picture LJ!! You look like a lovely mum. And thats what daughters are supposed to do, try the patience of a saint!! I know I did and still do :-)

Hi folks!
I'm just checking in.
I have a friend who lives in the country quite close to here and there is a flat next door to her which will be available to rent in a few months, so Susan and I are going to take a look this evening, then it's back here for some Chinese or a curry, I haven't decided yet. Susan's in a bit of a strange frame of mind. She's selling up the house we lived in for many years and moving in with me next weekend and she has a lot of mixed emotions going on. I try to calm her with soft words about how the future will be good to us if we let go of worry and just take each day as it comes and sober me will not let her down again.
Anyway. Must dash!
3:45 and it's getting dark slready.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I just got a call from my daughter. We went a long time without a good relationship b/c of AL, but now, things are getting back to her being able to call Momma, and it makes me proud to tears. I have many regrets, but it's useless to dwell on them. It's the now, and the beauty of our building relationship that I live in. Yesterday 16 y/o g/daughter stayed here several hours, with her friend who has become like another grand to me. I love this life, and drunkeness has no part in it. Looking forward to our holiday season. My children and grands are already sending me their 'wishes', plus I have 2 grandchildrens BDs, and my oldest (step) granddaughters son turns 1 in December. My plate is full.
