Ruby, we are not exactly sure what we want for our vacation but that trip is really good value for money ........ we are looking at lots of options though and its lovely that my friends here want to help :h

goodsmorning gears shifter well very pretty day here ..it looks like from out my window .. and looks like a another long day of hard work yeppie .. i love what i do ..

and well welcome aspman and rudemama so glad to have so many new folks here ..
lets do our best and stay strong and keep thinking positive and shifting in the right derection...

Oh, T, you know the Kitchen Goddess will be serving up a big 'ole Southern Thanksgiving, complete with the roaring fire, pies cooling on the window sills, and at least 2 pans of cornbread dressing (some call it stuffing, but I don't stuff it anywhere!) I used a new way of cooking my turkey last year, and got such raves I've cooked it sev times since. We usually have at least 2 meats, a dozen sides, and enough desserts to send you in to a diabetic coma. Mmmm, I can smell it now!.

BTW, BIG welcomes to Rude and Asp. (just leave the reptiles in the truck, OK, Asp?!) LOL Rude, your very right that joining in will give you more support than trying to fight in silence. We laugh a lot, but everyone is welcomed and appreciated, and when we need it, the helping hands are here. I'll never be able to pay back all the goodness I've received. Sometimes I'm really afraid I talk so much people WISH I'd take a long vacation, but I don't want to miss out on helping even one person if I can. So, you're stuck with me, I guess. Sorry.

welcome to all the new people here ...I have been reading how Thanksgiving is such a huge feast in the US...
Ruby how many people are you cooking for???....seems to me you might need a hall or something.....
Anyway I am back from the gym and kinda sad that my spin class will be cancelled in a couple weeks..nobody will go to the gym at 6 ...seems late for me as I start my workout at 5....geeeese

Sorry about your class, RustyButt. We always find room for anyone who shows up. It's the way my Momma did it, and she was one of 11! When people who aren't used to our way of holidays show up, they're hooked! My SIL's bro has already asked for an invite, especially if I make my Brunswick Stew. If I can keep T long enough, I'll fatten his butt up! LOL

Good morning All.

Welcome to Michelle, Rusty, Aspman, and Rudemamma! THis place helped me so much last spring when I got sober. I just had a little relapse and I'm back feeling a lot better.

I am on day 2 AF. Yeah! Sounds so insignificant but I feel good so I don't care!

Didn't even think about AL last night. Had a quick thought about it this morning... used to plan my cocktails ahead of time. But that thought quickly vanished with little effort.

So far I did my hypno tapes, exercise, COFFEE! (so glad it's good for your liver!), and am ready for my day.

As for all the THanksgiving talk...One of my favorite holidays. I start to look forward to it about now and have to do a pre-thanksgiving teaser dinner. Thanksgiving sandwiches! Roasted turkey, stuffing patty, cranberry spread, and a good roll. Yum. I think that will be dinner tonight.
