Sleep deprived

Hello everyone... I am loving reading thru all the stories today. Especially about the crab! Yum! I've never cooked a live one though but that's what happens when you live in the mountains of Montana.

I have a question for all you sleepers out there...How do you do it? AL always put me to sleep and now that I'm not drinking I lay there for hours. Yes I feel better in the morning but I am bored and thoughts of jumping up and pouring a quick shot jump into my head too often. I am taking the CalmsForte (sp) and a natural sleeping pill but they are not shutting my brain off. I also listen to the sleep learning cd and am exercising each day.

I sometimes wonder if my old insomnia wasn't one of the reasons I started drinking at night in the first place???

Any helpful suggestions would be fantastic. Thanks to all!!!!

Don't think I've said hello but :hello2:.

In my early days AF after the 1st week the sleep fairy disappeared. I don't know if it was the excitement of waking up fresh and not hungover, but I loved having those extra hours in my day.

For the 1st time in ages I didn't sleep very well last night. But what the hey it might be better tonight. BTW I shovel all sorts of herbal sleep remedies down my throat (not all at the same time ) but at least it's not AL.

you all are so funny, I am really jealous of a few of you...........BB, I LOVE fresh crab, live in FL and it cost a fortune, but stone crab season is upon us and we are going to "pig out" on 11/14, my mil is bringing a ton to Orlando for my son's state final swim meet.............fun!!!

Boobie, I am jealous of you, heard.................never been, (but want to and will some day GOD willing) to Montana, that it is gorgeous!! I would love to ride the horses through all your mountains..................just a dream I guess, when I win the lotto??:H

Sleep gets a lot better. I sleep like a log now. Give it time. When ur body is used to a alcohol induced coma each night it kinda freaks out for a bit. NONE of the OTC or herbal stuff worked for me until the alcohol was GONE out of my system and I had adjusted.

Bday is not til the 17th T, but thank you.
