I'm doing some volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and this is my first day. I guess they have a hard time finding drivers in the winter here in northern Indiana.

LBH ~ how goes the wall?

I am going to "happy hour" and dinner with friends tonight. First time out since I stopped drinking (but I drank mostly at home alone). I don't have any desire to, as I'm using the play it forward method and know I wouldn't have one. Just doesn't seem worth it. I planned ahead and told my friend I'm on a weightloss mission that way I don't have to answer HIS questions. I'm sure there will be others though or some comments that I don't really need to lose weight. Backup plan is that I have an early workout and some stuff to get done for work and I just can't afford to feel crappy.

Well, I'm off to poke around. To all others who pop in today, hope you have a great one!

well too late lodester lol but im ok and now home for lunch and back i go .. happy friday the 13th .. no one told me untill i came home for lunch .. i have to keep track of the day they all seem to blend in now

well i made it thgru friday the 13 th made it home alive and shaken just alittle .. was a little shock here and there and then bam there goes the lights.. smash and then crash .. i knew i wanted to stay home for the rest of the day but i had to finish that part of the job today .. and well down to the last part tomorrow .. should i dare go in yes .. well hope everyone had a great friday like i did .. i have to say it kept me on my toes .. lol

Now, T. We all know what that coffee does to you! rofl SUCH a day ahead. My g'sons woke me, calling to talk/yell/cheer about their overnight with us. Oh, did I mention they were jumping on the bed while they talked on the phone? Jack is obsessed with going fishing. Told Hubs that is his mission, don't disappoint us. I doubt I'll be back much, if any, till tomorrow night. This bunch is like a buzz saw! And yes, I love every minute of it. My daughter (rightfully) distanced herself from me for a time when I was drinking, so this is a great reward.

Many of us have reunited with our loved ones after setting down the booze. Praise God!!!!
Brit and I had a jewelry party last night....we got 600.00 in FREE stuff...YEHAW! We are gonna look so pretty with all our goodies. I made a bunch of snacks and filled the house with friends. We had a great time.
Billy's Mama called in the morning and had woken up with a black eye and funky bruising every where. She is SO STUBBORN....she had noticed it the night before but didnt wanna worry me....well, after I blessed her out and rushed her to the doctor...LUCKILY a very good friend of mine is the nurse/office manager of her Cardiologist, she is OK. She is having a reaction to her new meds but will have to live with the bruising. She MUST stay on this medicine or have a heartattack. She is OK...just a scare. I am so grateful to have her in my life, but it is very sad that she would prefer to call me than one of her own children. She has 2 daughters right here in town. They should be grateful to have a Mama, not everyone does. But, I am more than willing to take her. Just makes me even more grateful for my loving children.
T...slow down buddy. Take a day off already!!!!
BB...hope all is well with you. I have been praying for your Daddy and Keri. I hope the kids at school are giving her a break.

Good morning, all! Glad your friend is good, Britt, and that you are getting time with the kids, Rubes. Thank goodness!

I had a blast last night with my friends at "happy hour" and dinner drinking my own version of shirley temples -- I had 7! :H I hadn't had a sweet drink in over 2 weeks, so I actually thought the first one was a real cocktail and made my friend taste it. He looked at me like I had gone around the bend when I demanded, "What's IN that?" He said, "ermm tonic and cran?" Me: "no vodka???" Him: "No way." LOL I kept holding up my glass at the bartender for another. We laughed and talked and were silly just like always, but I was clear as a bell. My sides hurt this morning from laughing so much, but my head doesn't hurt at all and that is bliss!
