You should move to Cape Town.

For a change, I have a vegetarian's feast for you:

Oven-roast veg: butternut, baby carrots, sweet potato, baby marrow, brown mushrooms

                Greek salad with garlic rolls

Couscous with toasted almonds, orange rind, fresh coriander & dates

                Naan bread with raita

                Fancy some pud?
                I'll do whatever it takes

                    Hey Opes

Roast beef sounds fabulous! I like to make a "saucy" variety to go with mash: carve in slices, arrange in oven-proof dish. Fry sliced button or Potabelloe mushrooms in salted butter, add 250ml single cream, bring to simmer. Pour over and re-heat....

Oh dog... I've just eaten a huge lunch, and I'm talking about food again...

                              Are you taking the piss?

                              What is an acorn squash?

                              I do like a whole oven-baked Hubbard squash with a caramel-and-tea and dried-fruit filling.

I know, it sounds like pud, and is good enough to eat a such, but goes extremely well with things like cured or salty meat (think lamb ribs with coarse salt, crushed pepper & whole coriander).
