Travel thread anyone???

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a travel section here on MWO???

We have a recipe and what we are reading so why not a travel?

We are from all over the world and im am sure that between us we have visited almost everywhere, I could offer advice on travel to the UK as could many others and likewise those of us in South Africa, America & Australia???

I'm also being a little selfish here as I have just booked a holiday :H but wondered what everyone thinks about the idea???

I think its a good idea Betty.
Since joining MWO I have been to Ireland and the States, talking to people from different countries definitely gives me itchy feet so it would be good to know where to visit next

I've got itchy feet too since I regained my 'freedom'.
I can even get the bus to town on my own.

Seriously though I've managed a flight without the cushion of alcohol.

BB, wonderful idea. I too am dying to travel the world, and hoping to get insight from my friends in far places. My grands are amazed when I tell them my new best friends are 1000's of miles away, and I've always wanted to see those places, AND take them. Locals are always the best when you travel, and I've a reputation around here for helping people who travel to the resort area around my cabin. Count me IN!!

I'm all for it Betty...........still have'nt made it to Cancun yet ! Burmuda...a couple of years ago...lots of fun. Them Burmudans ( Onions ). Speak English...yet with an Island slang.....very interesting. Everything thier is expensive !! IAD

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the idea! I have probably been to more countries than states and love the idea of getting some local or "been there" insight. Getting ready to go to Kenya so if you've been there and have ideas let me know!

Great idea...you are right, I think between all of us, we could offer up much advice as to what to do, where to visit (I will leave the thousand bars that I visted out). I have traveled extensively too. Most recently, a trip to Athens, Croatia, Santorini and Crete. I have done a lot of Europe, Carribean, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska,,,, still trying to make my way to Figi and Australia (not quite ready to make that trip yet, I have never traveled long distances w/out the "in air flight service)....Give it a go, I think it would be fun!

hi, id love to join, havent been able to fly until recently for 10 years, my lung kept collapsing but can now and really enjoying it, we have a nudist colony 1/2 an hour away as well, just too damn cold in uk to strip off!! we are off to Fuerteventura the week before xmas which seemed like a good idea a few months ago, now i will have xmas eve only to prepare for large family xmas, help!!
