    Tigger World MWO Tour

This is Greenwich park and you can see the Royal Observatory in the background. Kim says we have to climb all the way up there to get a really good view of London

Kim has to stop for a fag halfway up, so we take some photos of the view. there's Canary wharf again where all the bankers work

And we can also see the Waste Of Money, I mean the Millenium Dome, which is now the O2 arena.

This is the Shepherd Gate Clock, an early example of an electric clock, and was installed by Charles Shepherd in 1852. The clock was probably the first to display Greenwich Mean Time to the public.

This is a hyper-accurate Chronometer, showing the exact time in London right now. It is on the Greenwich Meridian Line.

And here is the monument marking the line

Ah Cape Town - this reminds me of Daddy Tigs

I have an even better view from here

This is the Dolphin Sundial in the Titanic Memorial Garden. The gap between the shadows of the two tails is accurate to 1 minute - but I guess it would have to be sunny for it to work...

        I see no ships!

This is the Planetarium but because Kim took so long getting up the hill, it is now closed.

On the way back down Maze Hill

This is the Vanbrugh Castle, a folly built by Sir John Vanbrugh, the architect and dramatist. It is modelled on the French Bastille, where Vanbrugh was imprisoned on charges of spying for the British in 1690-92. Kim says he was a bit eccentric, but cool...

Kim can't remember what this is but it looks like an old power station

This is the Queen's House - it was meant by King James I to be the home of his consort, Anne of Denmark. Inigo Jones was the architect, and construction started in 1616. The Queen died in 1619, however, and work was stopped until ten years later, when King Charles I gave it to his new Queen, Henrietta Maria.

All this wandering has made me hungry! I want to stop off for Fish n Chips, but Kim says 'no'.

And then i want to stop at this old-fashioned sweet shop, but Kim says 'no'.

So by the time we get an indian takeaway in at home...

...I am so hungry that I have wolfed half of it down before Kim has the chance to take a photo. Oh dear I appear to have got it all over her bed as well - I must work on my diving technique...

Onion Bhaji anyone? Oh I couldn't possibly...Oh alright then! I go to bed a very full and happy Tigger. Nite all. Belch. :h

I've just had to give the cubs a lesson in time zones - they knew they existed, but not how GMT works.

I've just now taken the time to go back over the last few pages. Kimberley, I'm just amazed at how many places you've shown us. Two things are very obvious to me - your love of London and your very keen interest in history. I think it's fabulous that you took the time to tell us about the various buildings and monuments and such. And you've shown us such a variety of places that I wonder how many miles you've walked over the last while with Tigger. Like I said before, looking at your photos, I feel like I've really been there. And you've given me quite a few chuckles as well. Brilliant job. Thank you again.

I do - I absolutely love London :h and Tigger has enjoyed it too. But he will be moving on very shortly. I am helping him pack as we speak and he should be going to his new destination after the weekend. He is a bit annoyed that he didn't try any Jellied eels or pie and mash while here, as they are traditional East End dishes - but to be honest I am quite relieved. Maybe there is still a bit of time...

Wow! Mr Rags used to catch the No 6 Aldwych bus to work when he was living in London.

Kim I can only echo what Stirly has said.

Absolutely wonderful commenatry, and a great knowledge of London and it's history.

                        Thankyou so much.

I have to get over there for some curries.

I had jellied eel while I was there. Never have to have it ever again :H
And I had one of the best pies I've ever tasted in a little corner pub in Canterbury that I'm sure I'd never be able to find again.
