Now for some Rock and roll history. This is where Jim Morrison of The Door's was found dead at 27 in 1971. Some think he's still alive (with Elvis and Marilyn)...but anyway, we'll be going to visit his final resting place a bit later. If it IS is final resting place, that is.(note from expat--that is right across the street from my ex MIL's house! Jim fans drive her mad!!)

OKEY DOKEY! Here we are at the Bastille! (another note by expat--does anyone notice that his (tigger's) facial features really change??? Kinda freaky isn't it?:H) OK, moving right along. So, here's the BASTILLE.



I found a really cool Vespa to cruise around on but expat said---NO!

It was really cold so we ran over to the cemetery. NOW does that make sense?? But here we are...at the P?re Lachaise cemetery. Sorry Kim!! But expat made me come to this one because her daughter's people (dad's side of the family) are buried here! And Jim, of course.Expat!!! Please don't leave me alone in here!! This is spooky!

And of course...Jim!! People were playing music and lighting candles..and some other funny smelling stuff. Expat told the kids "We better go now".

Expat keeps getting lost!! Ok, it's a pretty big place. (note from expat--I have a really bad sense of direction! We got kinda lost. And circled around and around)

I can't wait to get home and show Mrs. T these piccies - she also got lost in that cemetery. As a child of the 60s, she felt obligated to go in search of Jim's grave. The problem was finding her way back :H
