Tigger World MWO Tour
Hello everybody!
Very glad it is the weekend again and we have been out and about!
Miss B lives on the south coast of Wellington, which is a marine reserve. TaputerangaMarineReserve I was hoping that I might get to see a whale or some seals while I was here, but it is a bit early in the year for that. In winter it is not uncommon for Orcas and Southern Rights to have a wander into the harbour. But here I am with a whale of a tail ....
It is also a penguin breeding place ......
We went up the coast today so I could see a real NZ farm, but on the way stopped off at yet another coffee place! you can see how windy it is ..... (and this was a calm day!!)
Behind me is Kapiti Island which is another bird sanctuary Kapiti Island Nature Lodge - Kiwi spotting opportunities, Overnight stays, day trips, guided walks. It takes a whole day to go there and come back, so we just looked from the coast, and went to a dairy farm where I got to eat lots of cheese and ice-cream!!!
I met lots of animals which I'll show you later ........right now we are heading off to the rugby!!!!!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Well we went to the rugby.
When the people sitting next to us learned I was a Sharks supporter they were very nice to me. They suggested all sorts of places that I could go to and things I could do ....... but I didn't hear them all as Miss B stuck her fingers in my ears :H:H:H
But the Hurricanes mascot said he was honoured to have his picture taken with me!
Kiwis are very gracious in defeat. The mascot said I was so cute that he just wanted to eat me up!! And his teeth didn't hurt that much ........ a bit like being over-loved by TMB!!!
Actually Ms and Mr B reckoned that the Hurricanes sucked and that they were surprised that the Sharks didn't win by a larger margin.Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

A good night was had at the rugby.
We started off with curly fries at the only southern (US) style eatery in Wellington. Curly fries are instant heart attack material ....... potato coated in batter and then deep-fried. mmmmmmmmm!!:H
This is the outside of the stadium .........
and this is the inside!
I wanted to see if I looked as good in the Hurricanes uniform as the All Blacks one, but they were too big .......
we are off to make hot cross buns right now, but I will be back later to show off my sheep photos!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

message from Farmer Tigger
Well I really wanted to go and learn about sheep while I was here, seeing as it is one of the few things that most other countries know about NZ. There are about 32.4 million sheep in NZ ...... it sounds a lot but they used to have twice as many as that!
Anyway we went to visit a farm yesterday, and I've been practising saying "She'll be right"
These guys were very interested in me ...... suspect they haven't seen a Tigger in their sheltered lives!!
Not sure about this one ...... dont think she could work me out at all .....
But I had a long conversation with this lovely girl ......
Miss B was not very knowledgeable about sheep, being a city girl, so we looked it up when we came home ....
SHEEP FARMING Information from Sheep World
But we did quite a lot of ROFL reading out a whole lot of sheep jokes ...... which you can all find yourself if you google "sheep jokes" :H:HNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Farmer Tigger Part II
And we saw lots of other animals as well. Goats, pigs, bunny rabbits and a few others ....
This emu took an unhealthy interest in me and I had to be whipped away very quickly!!
so did this pig ...
but this little guy was very sweet! He is a kune-kune, which is a type of pig, but very friendly, and are becoming quite popular as pets!! Kunekune - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Definitely not to be confused with a "Captain Cooker", that are the most common wild boar here. They had one at the farm we went to, and its name was "Big Mamma". No photos as her teeth with bigger than my whole body!!
...... and I got to drive a tractor!!
but this alpaca was my favourite critter!! Very friendly and incredibly soft to touch!!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
