Rubes pointed it our earlier on the NDT - Tigger is really showing the signs of being well-traveled! Maybe there is a MWO member who is taxidermist and can restore his fur at some stage!

I had Tigger tracked when he left me just to make sure that he didn't get lost. I checked his status this morning and got a message that he has arrived at his next destination but has been "held for clearance".

I'm wondering whether his international escapades have come to the attention of the powers that be and they think that he is a secret agent of MI415?

Not sure things got off to a very good start here. When she picked me up at the airport, I rushed towards her and called out “Hi Aunty Tawny” and went to hug her. She gave me a stern look and said “Now listen in, sunshine, if you and I are going to get on there’ll be no gratuitous hugging or any other PDA. All that stuff is reserved until you really mean it. And while we’re at it, I’m not your aunty so just call me T.Frog until we know each other a little better.”

We left the city of Melbourne, which is the capital of the State of Victoria, and drove for what seemed like forever. It was getting dark and she explained some things about her place and what to expect. Trouble is, I had great difficulty in understanding her. I actually don’t know what she says half of the time. For example, she said “Now, when you’re at my place, if I hear your mobile go off, I’ll chuck it in the dam.” What does that mean? And further, she said “Water is a problem so if you need to do big jobbies, use the crapper but otherise wizzle on the grafted Lisbon.” Still confused about that.

After some three hours we were nearing her town. It was dark and I could only make out six or seven shops. All were closed. There were no traffic lights. She said “Not far now, just up the road a little. Another five miles of complete darkness - there weren’t even any houses. This was getting scary.

When we arrived she showed me to my cabin. She said ‘I expect you’re tired after your long flight so I’ve made you a tray with some snacks. You have all you need here. Get a good night’s sleep and Ill see you tomorrow. Now, if you hear a strange noise in the night, something like a diry old man clearing his throat, don’t worry. That’ll just be the brush tail.” What on earth is the brush tail? What does a dirty old man sound like?

As she was leaving to walk up to her house she said “I won’t be back until lunchtime so walk around and explore the surroundings. Amuse yourself. You’ll be surprised what you can find when you open your eyes and your mind and your heart.”

I nervously ate my snacks. They were good and I looked around the room. There was no tv. No radio. No computer. NO COMPUTER??? This is just plain wrong. What on earth was the lovely MissB thinking when she sent me here? Why couldn't I stay with Reggie or Wavey or Mr.G? They're also in Victoria and I could have gone fishing and surfing and gone to hear bands.

I was suddenly aware that there was no noise. No noise at all ... and only the light of the moon filtering through the window. OMG - remember Kathy Bates?

I'm getting out of here in the morning.

The cubs wanted to know what that thing in front of Tigger was: they thought it was a keyboard of sorts, so I had to Google "typewriters" and show them how it evolved into what is today the QWERTY keyboard & cellphone keypad.

We took a detour so I could show them how the telephone has evolved as well. One of the more memorable comments (from the youngest): "Jeez dad, you're really old..."

I woke up really early to a very strange light so I tentatively stepped outside to see what it was. Wow! It was like the sky was on fire. I can't wait for it to get light so that I can have a quick look around before deciding what to do. Oh and look what was beside my bed.

Boy! This isn't too bad. There's heaps to do. I checked some baby birds and even found a Silverleaf Fairy. There are loads of trees to climb and even a horse to ride. I found a beautiful birds nest on the ground and oh - it's actually quite good here.

Uh oh - T.Frog is back and has just called me to come up and have some lunch ... best not keep her waiting ...
