Cub agrees!
Awwwwwww, I'm now seriously considering getting another Maine Coon. My very first one looked a bit like wookie - dark brown tabby with lighter "eyeliner" His registered name was Wrevenik's Marcus Aurelius Oedipus Rex. His nickname was "Bitterbal" - literally translated as "bitter balls", because he only liked me and treated all other people with contempt and disdain. He went around in a foul mood most of the time, but would literally act like a kitten when he was with me...
But we've made a decision to only adopt homeless cats from now on (hence the 4 ginger males).I'll do whatever it takes

Tip these are gorgeous! Wookie a bit like Bitterbal - jumped onto Mr B's lap the moment he arrived in our house and "his" cat from that moment forwards. He tolerates me and Betty (and doesn't mind the foster kittens), but wont go near anyone else.
Maine Coon's are not very common here, and it took us a while to work out what breed he was (he came from SPCA) but once we read up the breed characteristics, it was obvious. I think they are fabulous cats, with lost of lovely personality traits.
Have some great photos from yesterday with Tigger, but will have to wait until I am home to download them from my camera. Also made an absolutely incredible finding which I will PM you about!!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Tigger on Friday
Kia ora everyone!
Its friday night here and I'm zorsted. Going to have an early night so we can get up early .... I haven't quite decided whether to stay at home and watch the Hurricanes/Bulls game or go out for an early morning walk. We'll see.
Yesterday we went to Palmerston North. En route we saw heaps of sheep, cows, goats, llamas, horses ..... but it was raining and I didn't want to get my tail wet. So my close encounter with a sheep has been postponed for a few days.
We did go to the Rugby Museum though!!! Miss B and I had different answers to the question on the billboard!
I could never play for the Hurricanes - the yellow clashes with my natural colouring .....
I was pretty proud to sit on top of this display cabinet, which is a tribute to the Springboks.
Looking forward tot he weekend and some relaxation time!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Tigger's Saturday
We had a great day today!!
Was happy to see the Bulls beat the Hurricanes, but we are not talking about it here ..... (had a smiley thing in here, but it took my image quota over the magical 6 number!!)
After that we went for a walk followed by a well deserved breakfast in town.
Then we went on the Wellington cable car, which goes from the inner city up one of the hills to Kelburn, through three tunnels. Wellington Cable Car - Wellington Cable Car
It is quite a steep ride up, as you can see:
I got a little anxious as I could see the lights of another cable car coming towards us, but I could only see one set of tracks. Then I realised that they do a loopy thing in the middle where they pass each other - the weight of the one going down helps to pull the one going up!
And the driver let me drive it!! The next photo is looking dowwn the track from the top!!
And the view from the top is well worth it!!

Tigger's Saturday Part 2!
From the top of the Cable Car we had a wander down through the Botanic Gardens, which is a nice green space ..
But actually the main reason we were here was for the Summer Ukulele Fiesta!! Wellington is home of the ever so slightly slightly mad The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra. They created such madness and mayhem over the past couple of years that people all over Wellington (including Miss B) started playing the ukulele and starting ukulele bands!!! The Fiesta today was a big strum-along, where about 200 people went to a public park to all jam together on their ukuleles!! I got to meet lots of people and had a great time, plus I am now quite proficient at "Dont Worry, Be Happy"!
And then it was time for coffee and some time out to smell the roses ....
