Actually, we kinda missed the sunset, Tipster... somebody else had dropped by and chatted, so by the time we finished supper, we only caught the very last of light over the lake (which is why I had to lighten the background). Still purdy, though Oh and winter... well, first of all, I don't USE that word... it's 'post autumn' in my dictionary.. but yeah.. that.. dreaded season is... LOOOOONG! :H Lotsa snow, -25 Celsius in Feb.. ya know... *shiver*

Thanks Ruby and everyone else... it was kind of bad timing; I was hoping that having tigger would give me (even more of) an excuse to bugger off during the day! :H But after being away for a week, the damn phone won't stop ringing

Welllll.... I bugged and I begged and I bounced and I pounced until Sunni agreed to bugger off work early this afternoon! Yay! ROAD TRIP!!!!!

But first, we had to go shopping *uggh* In Mindemoya.



Will you LOOK at all the junk she puts in her cart??? Got a sweet tooth, or whaaaa??!!!



Then, she almost fainted when her bill came up to $ 1,423,789.95... that's 'cuz they scanned MEEEEE!!! :H



Btw... the lady at the check-out looked at Sunni as if she truly had lost her marbles. I'm not sure Sunni is allowed back in there?

So THEN we went on our road trip! We went past Sunni's house and down the road (I hadn't been in that direction yet) and waved to her next door neighbour...



We stopped at the beach in West Bay for a breather and watched some kids splish splash in the lake. I was just glad that I didn't have to get anywhere close to that water *still grumbling about that*



Sunni pointed up into the hills to a sign (and if her photographic skills weren't so pitiful, you could see it, too) - there was a bigggg sign that said: "M'Chigeeng". I wonder if they make movies there?

After our little stop at the beach we went shopping AGAIN. Heavens. Women!

Very cool little native shop, though... I wanted to go check out that Tipi but Sunni said she wanted to look for something more my size...

Well, Sunni did find something she bought for me. I now have my very own Inukshuk. Yes Sir-eeee. I do. Whatever it is. I bounced and smiled but I really didn't have a clue why I should have an Inukshuk. Then she explained... Inukshuks are markers for travelers. To show the way, sometimes to store food at their base for other travelers, and for good luck, too. My Inukshuk has an inscription on it, too: Family, Direction, Teamwork, Vision, Friend. Oh.. and Canada at the bottom. So I'll remember where I got it. On my travels. And I travel LOTS.

After that we - that is my tiggery self, my Inukshuk, and Sunni - went back on the road again. You're not gonna believe this.. but they call this a HIGHWAY!???? :racer:



So, apparently, we were on our way to Little Current. More water. *sigh*



Lotsa plants, too. Let's play "Where's Tigger?"



I really wanted to climb those trees - and oh! oh! there was an APPLE TREE, too.. with BIG RED apples, already!!!! But she wouldn't let me *hrmpfh*



At least I got to play on some rocks, though...

We stopped by the Spider Bay Marina, too. Sunni got all choked up 'cause all her friend's boats were there but the "4Play" is not in the water this year. Something about no time because of barn 'n stuff - so Mr. Wonderful's boat is under a tarp, looking like a giant Hershey Kiss!



On our way home, we looked at the big Swing Bridge in Little Current. Every hour the whole thing rotates to let boats through. The boat people like it lots - the car people, not so much.



Sunni said, there was one more stop she wanted to make. I'm a good sport. I go along with almost anything.



I get it! We're gonna go see more monsters! (I'm not sure why? We have two at home?)
Ahhh.. but there are some fun things for a Tigger like me, too....



Ya know.. it SHOULD look something like this.. really....



I think I might like this place! Can we stay for a while? Can we? Can we? *bounce*

Well, eventually, I got us outta there and home. On the way I spotted a very funny sign - lemme move outta the way. See?
