A tiger needs spurs! Aunt Dance told me artificial aids like whips and spurs function as an extension of your leg when used correctly. Western spurs jingle when you walk. Yee-haw!

A horse needs bling even more than a cowgirl!!!!





Whoo - Whee!!!! This sparkles on this stuff is so bright I'm blurred and over exposed!!!! These are the same type of gigantic crystals on these headstalls as in the first two pictures.

Dance - fabulous pictures. I love horses even tho' I have very little contact with them - just a short ride once in a while on the island of Hydra. No cars allowed there so they have horses you can rent for a ride around the island. Beautiful, beautiful animals they are. If I had a large area of land, I would definitely have one. All that riding equipment is amazing. I especially liked the boots. And the turquoise saddle. I thought they even might have had one of these at that store....:H:H

I'm famished! What sounds good? I wanted to try the lamb fries, but Aunt Dance and her friend said no way Jos?!!! She also said they used to be calf fries and we wouldn't have ordered those either - I wonder why?



Would you look at that! Oh my goodness! Brisket, sausage, fried zucchini with horseradish sauce, blackeyed peas, and Texas toast! Also half a peach, a pickle, and two green onions, but it's under the Texas toast so you can't see it! Aunt Dance's friend got the ribs and smoked turkey with fried okra and blackeyed peas. This tiger is ready to pounce! By the way, the bottle on the table contains barbeque sauce - they use Grolsch bottles with the flip top lids - in the first picture you can see them sitting in a heated contraption, so your barbeque sauce is always hot.

That fried zucchini looks pretty good. But there's nothing like the most tender brisket! Tigers are meat eaters, after all.

The waitress asked us if we want dessert - who doesn't? But only one to split three ways? Will that be that enough? Well, OK, if you say so.....

That's quite a coconut meringue pie!!!!! It also comes in chocolate!!!!!

It's been a long day - time to get in the truck and head back to "Big D."




See those big clouds off to the left in these pictures? By the time we got back to Dallas, they were there, with giant bolts of lightning, and sheets of rain blowing sideways! You could barely see in front of you to drive, and we got soaked getting from the car to the house (the side facing the sideways blowing rain did anyway!). I was in a shoebox, so stayed dry.

Those food portions are HUGE.

The ribs portion advertised as an appetizer was already a pound!!!!!!!

Your pictures are great. So nice to see your part of the world. I love how every place Tigger goes, we get to see different things because of the interests and hobbies each of us has. This is a great adventure that we all get to share and that shows us so many different places and things (and food). Fantastic.
P.S. Dance - I chuckled at the part about Tigger being in a shoe box. You got soaked but made sure the little guy was high and dry!! When I took him to Athens for a wee tour of the city, I had him in a little bag in my purse and kept sticking my hand in to make sure he was still there. I was scared that somehow I was going to lose him. Jackie said the same thing. And packaging him up to send off to the UK, well I just didn't like it at all that he had to be cooped up in a box for a few days. Funny how you can get attached to the little guy. And it's so cool knowing that he's been all the way around the world and visited with so many other members. The Tigger World Tour ROCKS!!!
