The clues could also refer to lesser known poets in the England/Ireland area. But, ?Abbey? and the date pretty much nail Tigger to that space (the NW part of the UK) and place in time, as far as I know.
But we have Native American poets in Colorado who go as far back as Byron, and their digs are way more interesting, and not very far away (what?s a six-hour drive through desert paradise?):

I think I know but then I was a bit privileged not too long ago even though he went completely off track from the time he left me.:H I won't say though. I think Greenie might have it.
