Fab Expat - what a great place for Tigger to go on Valentines. Notre Dame is one of my fave places on Earth and I've always meant to go to that Shakespeare Bookshop. I see Tigger was 'awestruck' by the Louvre - or is it windy there? I want to go to Paris now! Can't wait to see more!

By the way, Miss B, the jumper was lovingly hand-crafted out of Shetland Elk hair by Romany gypsies and sold on the Jubilee market at Covent Garden. Nah, me mum saw it on eBay...

The Place Vendome-renown for its fashionable and deluxe hotels such as the Ritz. Many famous designers have had their salons in the square. Lots of jewellery shops too!

Am really enjoying your pictures, Expat. I love night pics because of the lighting.
Isn't it fun having Tigger with you? I bet Kimberley misses him as much as I did when he left.

The Ritz!! Just as we showed up --some VERY posh people were coming out. Expat's teenage daughter said she was going to DIE of embarrassment because Expat took me out and started taking photos:H! It's so easy torturing teen girls! I yelled WOOHOO really loud at the poshies to freak out the daughter even more. The doorman told us to "calm down".

It's getting really late so this is our last stop of the night. Expat says it is the Pont Alexandre III-is an arch bridge that spans the Seine, connecting the Champs-Elys?es quarter and the Invalides and Eiffel Tower quarter, widely regarded as the most ornate, extravagant bridge in Paris. The bridge with its exuberant Art Nouveau lamps, cherubs, nymphs and winged horses at either end, was built between 1896 and 1900 (got that info out of a book)

We started out the day on the Right Bank of Paris--The Marais. It is one of Expat's favourite neighborhoods. Among other things, there is the Jewish quarter. You can find many delicious things to eat!

This is a plaque outside of this school in the Jewish quarter. During WWII, 165 children were deported to concentration camps. They never came back.:upset:. Expat said the sign says "Don't ever forget". The school is still open today and the sounds of children playing in the garden is a reminder of what we hope will not-CAN NOT-ever be experienced again.

OK-We are moving down to the Hotel de Sully built between 1625-1630. This area was once a place for aristocrates... The door on the far right is like a secret passage. It leads onto the Place des Vosges...

It was built by Henri IV in 1605.
