I'm so happy you are enjoying the Paris visit! We are having great fun with Tigger! Today (Saturday) it's slashing rain and really cold. So a good day to upload the photos! I :h Jim Morrison too. Great video JC! The first time I saw him was in a MTV video. I told my mum "Oh my God! He's gorgeous!" She just looked at me and said "He died before you were born" :H I thought they were a new band! But The Door's are really timeless. There's always loads of people at his grave. Young people and old hippy types alike:H.

Finally! Expat is taking me to a really famous place (the weather is not the greatest). Some people say this is the most beautiful avenue in the world. Expat says she doesn't know about that--but it is pretty impressive!




The Arc de Tromphe. It is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. Started in 1806, it honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Beneath its vault lies the tomb of The Unknown Soldier.

Aughh! It's very noisy here with all the cars racing around the roundabout. Expat told me its quite dangerous. There have been stories of tourist who drove in there and could not get out! The police had to escort them out! French drivers are crazy!

There are people from all over the world. We met some nice English ladies. They heard Expat screaming at her son to stay away from the road. So they came to ask us for directions. They admired my jumper and scarf--it is true! I'm quite handsome!




WAHHH! No! I don't want to leave yet! I was just getting to chat up the ladies! But SHE said we have to move on.

We jumped on the metro to the Grands magasins area. HMMP! These MWO ladies and their shopping!



OHHH! It's Gia! Hiya Gia, what are you doing in Paris?? Yes those ARE lovely bags! OOPS! The security man just came up and said we can't take photos in here! I wonder why?

Out in the cold again!! Window shopping is about all we'll get to do at this rate! The French call window shopping "l?che-vitrines" or window licking! Expat said she does a lot of window licking.



I'd rather look at food! Yum! Quiche! Who says men don't eat quiche?

Those quiches are to die for. Running off to the kitchen to get something, anything to eat!!!
Expatty, you're doing a fab job showing us around Paris. Am loving this tour.

Just a note - I was wondering was Jim Morrison was buried in Paris and not taken back to the US to be buried at home? I googled it and this is one of the answers I found.

He had in essence abandoned America and move to France. The Cemetery has a lot of big names in it and he wanted to be there.
