hiya aspman, yes alot, not really in the tourist areas, but in the villages and countryside they are popular, they are classed a a dangerous breed, but if they are bred and cared for properly they are very loving faithful dogs, very handsome.

mine was very well soacialized, loved pet, gentle to visitors if a bit boisterious in play, but WATCH OUT if you acted a fool around her family what a change of charicter... they are banned here also.
unfortunatly you cant legistlate agins idiots so the breed cops it.

yep very true they are very loyal & playful but also exreemly protective which sadly is their downful, when as you say idiots have them for the wrong purposes and trian them to be aggresive, the it's the poor animal that suffers the bad name

hee hee yep he was well hidden..! how long did it take you ?

yep ollie is well attached, had him hidden in his jacket when I was going.. he nearly got left behind, never mind he's got him all christmas day to play with, ollie comes home 10am till 10pm...
then on the 31st and the 6th of Jan it's kings day here in Spain.
