He's quite a stickler for detail, so I had to tell about the hiding, the rotation of bottle stores, quantities etc etc etc... Even Mrs. T's eyes became quite wide at one point.

She is great, though: told me she's fallen in love with me all over again :h

I was very surprised that SIL was so open about it, Opes.

Normally her stay in rehab isn't mentioned by anyone in the family. But she probably felt safe with me talking about my alcoholism.

She was probably embarrassed about her addiction and so didn't want to talk about it. We are so lucky to have this place to share our problems with people in a similar situation to ourselves.

Amen, Opes, Amen. This was the FIRST place I could really be open without getting the 'down the nose' looks, from people drinking almost as bad as me, and still making terrible decisions. That was hard to take.

I know, Opes. The same people who drank with their underage kids. At least I NEVER did that, warned them NOT to be like me. When I was drinking, I told them, if I can't be a good example, at least I'll be a horrible warning.
