    Morning all,
    Have a good day Mame.
    Well, it's been all go here this morning. Just had George Michael on the blower in one ear, and Tiger Woods in the other! George want's Jack's (Thompson) number, cause he want's to chill, and go bush while he's here in Straya next year (defo have to run that one past Jack!), and Tiger's asking me if he should buy a left handed spade, or a right handed one, as he's had enough of golf, and want's to throw himself into gardening! Fair dinkum, what's wrong with these blokes?! Anyway, i resisted giving Hawney's number out to Tiger, as amongst other thing's, she is too much woman for him, not to mention, too much of a lady.

    A safe, sober day to all. Off for a run! Yeehaw!

      Thanks for not giving Tiger my number - I'm still having trouble getting rid of the Hughs - don't know which is more persistent, the aussie one or the Pom but it's just a never-ending stream of texts and messages and faxes. Boooooring.

      Tell Tiger the reversible spades are best.

                    Ficks my job is not so much learning new stuff but the systems are pretty slack so I'm gonna get that in order, as well as do the job.
                    So this girl I work with made the comment last week that she had really bad short term memory...even been for an MRI as it was affecting her work...they discovered she had damaged her frontal lobe due to drinking. Anyway now she's AF...didn't ask her how long but a while I imagine (couple of years maybe) AF forever...she's totally committed. Exciting huh??

                      Has anyone watched the 'Rain In My Heart' doco ????...............Jesus.......:upset:
                      Esp. scary the guy who was diagnosed with cirrhosis, cleaned up for 10 years, but STILL continued to deteriorate...then died.....
                      This is SO fecking scary.....

                        I watched it a couple of weeks ago.

                        And I tell you what, I dont even need to watch documentaries to get scared about it ...... my brother (the one with cancer) was a chronic alcoholic for most of his life, and there is no question that alcohol has contributed to his cancer and his generally poor health over the last 10 years.

                        And I had a younger sister that died when she was 40, from artheriosclerosis, brought about by cirrhosis. The saddest thing about that was that she died alone and really unhappy because of how she behaved ........ burned off too many people along the way.

                        I have this in my family and I still struggle with stopping. Not the idea of it, just the actual doing it. Just shows how insane alcohol makes me.

                          Yeah it is scary stuff. But I watched it and felt I couldn't really relate...might watch it again.
                          I was particularly saddened by the guy that was drinking/spewing/drinking some more but again I can't picture myself like that so it lead to "I'm not that bad" thoughts which lead to "let's have a bottle of wine 'cause I'm not that bad" thoughts. Geez it's tiring in my head sometimes... :H
