Bridgy. I would say, don't be in a rush to shag him, but maybe don't leave it too long either? If you can find that balance, etc... If he really likes you, he'll go with your pace, i reckon, but that's a generalisation. Nature will take it's course, non? Good luck! See what the af life attract's to us?.....;-)

Here i am straight into the shagging scenario. Duh! Re closing the deal, let him know you're interested by inviting him out to a couple of event's? Interesting exhibition's, market's, etc? then he'll know you like his company, and just take it from there? Dunno if any of this help's......

Yes that's it....I'm not talking about shagging ..... Jeez goyles :H......I mean how does one progress these things? Is it cool to ask HIM out ? Do men REALLY like that ? Know what ? I am in a generational black hole. In between the 'old fashioned girls' ( which I really identify with more) and the young-uns who take no prisoners.

Well, i reckon you're a big spunk Bridgy. Smart, sharp, generous, kind, thoughtful, great company i'd suspect, caring, straight talkin'. I don't mind if women ask me out at all. It wouldn't hurt to ask him out at least once, would it? If someone ask's me out repeatedly, without me having an 'asking out' turn, then that's just too one way. Anyway, what's happening? He hasn't rung you? If he likes you, and you've let him know/feel that you'd like to go out again, then he'll ring. Otherwise, maybe ring him once, but if he doesn't bite, then the ball's in his court, i suppose?

morning all,it's 3;50am and all is well with the word(my tiny slice of it and way).
do you guys think the day will ever come when i can walk/drive past a bottle-o and not think"self" "you want one, go ahead"? does anyone of us ever get there?

Fickle, good luck with your kids.A mate of mine used to cable tie his two together of a sat morning to get some houswork done.they used to clean the kitchen up @ top speed. then again they avoid their dad now so maybe thats a bad idea. They lived in country queensland across the road from the cop shop, one saturday they get the bright idea to go and show the sarg what dad had done to them ( cable ties ), he made them wash his car too! Ah, the good old days when kids had no rights...

oh and, bridge. many of us fellas are a bit slow on the uptake with girls. we dont see subtle like you lot,
I myself have missed some interesting oppertuneittys(lol) due to missing the hints.

Morning Aspy, Tiptruck, and all to come,
Aspy, for me these day's, the thought's of drinking are fewer as the af life takes hold, and new healthy habit's take hold, that is, my true path once more. Yep, of course i think of what it would be like to have one or two, etc, but i know where that leads for me, and frankly, i'm really not interested any more. The self abuse/numbing thinking is disappearing at a rate of knot's. My new found freedom, and all round great feeling every day, is far more interesting, and attractive to me now, and, i see the result's of this, in the way i've turned my life around, 180 degree's. So, in answer to your question, for me at least (14 mths.), and for most folk's who have a fair chunk of af time, passing a bottle shop is absolutely no big deal these day's. Our drinking thought's should get fewer, and less embuggering as we rack up the af time. Gratitude thinking vs. Deprivation thinking. (Toolbox thread). Great going on your af time too, mate.

C'mon Bridge, what's the latest?

thanx G man, its kinda funy as i pass the bottle-o i sigh a big sad sigh and the misses gives me shit for hours...in good nature. then the next time i do it again... hehe.
at leate i aint accidently pulled in since day 3 when i 'forgot'(yer right Dam AL) i was nt drinking any more, gave the guy at the counter a shock to see me drive straight through and not stop.

Mate, i used to rotate the bottle-o's, and sometimes try to look like i just happened to be passing by first thing in the morning, as i got my supplies. I wasn't fooling anyone with my scruffy appearance, probably a whiff of al about me, red bloated face. Ah, a class act i was.

I'm back from family function in the big city - god they're alcoholic light-weights. 2 bottles of fizz, 1 bottle of white, half a bottle of red and 3 beers. Nine adults over five hours. Pathetic!

It was good fun. I was tucked up at The Grand by midnight and up at 6.30 for brekky and train back home. Mission accomplished. I love love love coming home.

Jonesy - are you confoosed?? I been outa the game a while, love but some things I know men love are a sense of humour (you're ALL OVER that) and confidence. Call him, ask him out - you'll be fine, he'll say yes - all's sweet.
I'm off to work today and then Carols in the Park (maybe...all those kids, all that sugar *shudder*)
