THE NEXT DAY THREAD - DECEMBER

    Hi Auntie Mame,
LOVE the new name!!! Can't wait to see it.
You are so right about the oven cleaner. I have tried all kinds, foam, spray, hot oven, cold oven and the results are all the same. I'm about passed out from the stuff and the oven still isn't completely clean even after a great deal of elbow grease. So - here's the solution and I'm asking Santa for one next year (I havent' been a good enough girly to ask for one this year) - a self-cleaning oven. My son has one. You put it on self clean and the bugger pops up to like 800C or something, nukes all the burned-on grease, etc. and all you get is some black powder(ashes) to wipe up. A gift made in heaven.

P.S. Enjoy reading the NDT. You all have a great sense of humor.
P.P.S. What's with all the Greek?

THE NEXT DAY THREAD - DECEMBER

Good morning Ms' Behaviouropolous, and Stirlos, and all the beautiful people to come,
Fickopolous, yes, i stumbled many times before i finally had enough. But, i never dreamed, or thought of...'must get to 1 year af, then i'll be right'...or must get to 6 mths' etc...No way could i think that far ahead, and didn't (too daunting), it really was for me, one foot in front of the other, step by step, slowly racking up the af day's, and enjoying that feeling of general wellness, and getting on with my life. No pressure, just doing it. (The quiet achiever angle, really helped me, btw.)
Go for it Fickopolous. Be proud. We must lead by example.

      Missious, Go for it!

      Angeliopolous, enjoy your headache.

Reggious, what have you done with our darling Brigos?

Now for a speedy exit before Hawnopolous get's here.

Fire up the barby, and throw on the soouva's folk's!

Don't worry - Sickle was only used on International Tool Day day. Bridge became Spanner and Ronnie became Bolt. Now we've gone all Greco/Roman - hell - we can really cut loose! So ... why not be Effie for a day?

Thought there was a touch of Latin in there myself too - or is that what you meanby Roman???!!

I got quite lost myself ...... does this reflect a Melbournian/Melbournius influence??? I can only do bog-standard Irish. I can not imagine what linguistic archeologists would make of this if they came across a digital record in a million years time ..........:H:H

Angel and Eskimo - hope you are feeling better today. And Ronnie - hope you boys behaved and you didn't buy too much that you didn't intend to!

We have had a massive "at-home and cleaning" day where the boys (Uncle Mame and son) responded magnificently to my somewhat tetchy response a couple of days ago to them leaving the fudge dishes in the sink and boiled over fudge on the stove top. It was something along the lines of if we were all going to have a nice Xmas, we all had to do it together ..... not to mention that they wouldn't be getting chocolate french toast on Xmas morning if I was so tired that I needed a sleep in!

So we have a pristinely clean house, everything done that needs to be done and a day and a half to relax!!

I have emailed the MWO admin people and my new name is on its way!!!

Or a day and a half to bugger it all up again? :upset:

I finally grasp the concept of Spireggio's trouserless embrace. I used to think it was something slightly grubby ...

Well mite, I'm firing up the Camero & off into the Big Smoke for dinner.
I'm wearing my ho shoes (ho ho!)

There was this thing on telly in the wee smalls this morning about women who fall in love with, and marry, inanimate objects. There was a woman who had married the Eiffel Tower in France (she had a mini version at home with her)...and another was in love with fences. They 'loved' them in all the same ways as they would love a human partner.
                          Aren't people fascinating??
