Nothing is on for Christmas Bridge. And noone. I'm trying to talk myself out of going out and buying some wine because I won't be able to tomorrow if I fall in. I've always gone on the premis of ODAT and if I want to drink tomorrow I will, but I don't, but I've always had the choice before.

well, if you haven't been drinking, then you won't have to worry about physical withdrawal, or discomfort tomorrow if you feel you want to drink then? I think Christmas is a great time to not drink, in many way's. You could reflect on, and plan/re-group yourself for the new year, non?

Pan - without reading back, I can't remember if you're on day 5 or 6. How about treating tomorrow as 'just another day'? If you're mowing and weeding, why not just treat it as a Friday? Forget about it being Christmas. Does that help?

Tomorrow is Day 10, Tawns. I'm trying to treat it as just another day, but it's bloody hard to do when everyone around you is with family. Thanks. Been there, done this before.

Why don't you write yourself a letter to be opened on Christmas Eve 2010. You could set out a plan about how different your life is going to look by the time you open that letter.
I don't mean to get all psycho-babble on your arse....but sometimes these odd little exercises are extremely valuable....

I was sort of thinking along the same lines Bridge, but more about what life was going to be next year.
