Ronnie, hope your talk goes well with your partner. However it happened and however it got "re-happened" it is important that you feel that you have not been dismissed in the process.

And I feel so strongly that adults need to act as good role models for their kids and all other small people around them. Kind, respectful, problem solving approach to differences etc etc. But you are one of those role models for them too. Please let your life get stuck in that moment!

Angel -- wow, thats amazing starting a new job this close to Xmas and holidays. Hope it all goes well ...... and glad you are being paid, which is absolutely i line with Australian law!!

Things good here ...... after a mental health day yesterday I had another one today and actually feel quite restored!! Yesterday I felt a bit manic, today I felt much more calm and peaceful, read a novel most of the day, practiced my ukulele, paid bills, and organised next week (back up north to be with my brother again ..... but since last time his daughter has got a new flat for them all to live in, and will be much easier to manage on a number of levels).

gosh ... Xmas is very soon!!!

Hey,

I am here. For a little while, anyways. I have to get showered and ready for work.

I am in a non-smoking hotel room so I am hiding in the bathroom and smoking a cigarette and typing on MWO. I hope no anti-smoking Nazis turn me in. It would be a $250.00 charge if I get "caught."

What a life. Sitting on the toilet, trying to "hide" my smoking and typing on MWO. OMG, what I become?

Hanging in there, barely. But hanging in there.

I have a job interview tomorrow with a company that might be willing to hire me to work from home. Only travel to their site once in a while. I would take a huge pay cut for it but am willing to do that in order to get out of these hotels, off the planes and be at home with my family.

Hubby actually is willing to accept the pay cut for me to stay home. It threw me for a loop, as they say.

It is huge. $25K less a year.

But I would be home. This old Granny would be home. I am so tired of the travel and the mess. And the lonely hotel nights and the long hours with clients who look to me to be the "best."

My new employer would be getting better than they need.

I could use a break. Just a bit, though.

Good almost afternoon here in the Great White North. Cinders I hope your interview has gone or will go well. A pay cut is hard, but sometimes worth it in the long run.
And a big Happy Belated Birthday to Tawnyfrog. I missed her birthday yesterday and I feel bad because she is always so good at remembering everyone elses.
