THE NEXT DAY THREAD - DECEMBER
Morning all
Hey lovely Lori - great to see you visiting. Thanks.
Ficks - hope today's looking a bit brighter for you.
Does anybody else tend to slow down around this time of year? I don't seem to be as manic. Maybe it's splitter separation anxiety. Or maybe it's just been a long hard year and I'm ready to wind down and relax a little. Who knows.
Have a safe weekend.

Morning!
Ficks ... my heart goes out to you. I'm sure you will do whatever you believe best for your kids. But it is a basic law of physics that every action has a reaction!
Yes, I'm slowing down as well. Is very nice!! I'm back in Ak looking after my brother next week, but I'm only taking one piece of work with me (he sleeps a lot now so I should be able to get it done with little effort) and I'm sort of viewing it as a little holiday (and planning on getting lots of running and swimming in). I have lots of stuff that I had planned to get done by the end of the year, but there is no chance now, and I've let go of them. Priorities. And I need to spend some time over the break thinking about how to manage into 2010, given that all this family stuff is going on way longer than I expected. Sustainability is my new mantra.
Swam 2km this morning, which I was very happy about as it was not too hard despite the fact that my training schedule has not had many ticks on it!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
