Thanks for the link Aspy. Mine was like the third one - big hydraulic bugger. But did you notice the easy-peasy straight-grained softwood he was splitting? I don't think they have hardwoods like ironbark or yellow box over there.

Oh well. My work here is done. I have wood like other people have mice.

Not many shite day's when you're af love. Well, of course life being life, there will be drama's/issues pop up, that need to be dealt with. But everything, no matter what, is a real lot easier to deal with when off the turp's, and you've got yourself a bit of balance. The grog really killed my optimism and happy streak though, let me tell you. There is just so much to do, and to live for Bridge. I sometimes waver a little on that last point, but generally, i kick ass.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts everyone,
I've been re-reading & apologise extensively for my vino posts.
Have made major decision to resign from my job this friday. I think it will make me a much happier person and open up a world of possibilities. I also plan to chuck a sickkie for the next few days to get seriously sober (whilst kids are still at school - out) because it is very hard to do those first few days when extremely unhappy & embuggerances abound.. (hate job) (hate home/mess). I will live the fantasy that they are little again and I am free to just be a hausefrau and get busy with the sorting... pretty white nappies blowing in the breeze... (just like the omo adds).. frolicking in the garden and dreaming of plenty of water... will those sunflowers ever make it???
When I got to work this morning I read last weeks stars.. which basically told me I would have a fight with a family member over the weekend & completely lose the plot. Ahhhh Hindsight.. GRRR
I am not normally a 'whoo whoo' kinda person but that was pretty funny :H:H

Oh hi people.
G - I had a fantabulous day...surrounded by sumptuous fabrics, measuring & pinning stuff, getting things organised..making shit happen. I think I said a while ago I was thinking about a new career but couldn't decide on what it should be...well this has fallen into my lap and it's the same career but a side step in a really exciting way. Of course, I'm full of beginners enthusiasm but fingers crossed there's no nasty surprises.
Now, more importantly BRIDGET JONES - go you, ya big quiet achiever you!! And ready for a 'lationship we think??
I think the whole bloody lot of us need to give ourselves a pat on the back...Ficks is getting her shit together (whatever it takes Ficks) Ronnie's not getting out of her face, Aspy's doing AF school reunions, Mame is coping with some of life's toughest times & slipping in a few triathlons on the side, Reggie, Hawney, G-Force, Tipsy all rocking along, I haven't been separated from my trolley in aaaages - our collective energy is making the world a better place.
Ah, the southerly has just come through & all is good.

The 'quiet achiever' angle, while racking up af time worked well for me too Bridge. Less pressure, and stress, i found. It somehow allowed for a more 'zen' experience for me in the earlier af day's, if that makes sense? A very well done again, and keep it up. Well, it's all quite zen now too, i must say.
