Sure, things are really tough at this time and your ex. is hell-bent on being nigh on impossible, but..........she`s had a lot to have to put up with in the past due to your drinking. Am not at all fully supportive of her, it`s just that..........the longer I have remained sober, the more I tend to be able to see the other person`s point of view in any situation. That`s not to say that we`ve to make ourselves pushovers for anyone.........am just saying..........look at the bigger picture and you`ll understand better why your ex. is being a little `inconsiderate`.

So, what are you to do??? Well, you can go off and get yourself drunk as a skunk, thus giving your ex. the perfect opportunity to ridicule and degrade you, the drunken no-user, OR............you can determinedly fly in the face of all that is shit in your life right now and remain sober, come hell or high water. Only when your loved ones witness you staying on the straight and narrow will they learn to believe and trust in you again.

Your call, bob...........family or drink?...........I know which one I would choose every time. AND............don`t think for even a minute that you can`t do this...........is exactly what you have been doing these past 58 days. I`m proud of you.

I think it`s obvious what you now hope for in life, bob. I hope to see you get it in 2010.

Pro, lots of great advice and comment here already. Take a deep breath and don't throw away your hard won sobriety. You know how much drinking would help this whole situation - it wouldn't.

I also commend you for coming to MWO to let out your frustrations (rant) and not turn to alcohol. Continue your healthy path and use us as your sounding board. hey Pro, 58 days is fantastic. 59 days ago, you would never have believed you could do it. BUT YOU DID. So dont you DARE ruin it all. Like others have said, you have done trojan work in rebuilding your relationship with your daughters. Think about what you said when you wanted to get sober first.....I couldnt do without my babies....thats still as true 58 days later as it was then. Dont risk losing them. Let her be a bitch...you are bigger than that. Sure she doesnt understand what you are going through. Only other alcoholics will truly understand it. She put up with a lot from you for years, and unfortunately, what goes around comes around. But you are in a far better place now to deal with it than you were 2 months ago.
Bolt the door....do not go out past the tallboy shop....stay in....rant and rave all you like, but do not let the Beast come near you again.
Let her see how much you have changed, and are able to deal with things without turning to AL. You are being tested now Pro.....you will pass that test, the same as you have passed all the others.
Stay Strong and Sober Pro...its the least you deserve!
