Doesn't that drive you nuts, give it an empty plastic fizzy bottle, they have just as much fun wrecking those.
It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

Have picked up more shifts at the pub, so am working the next three nights, including NYE tonight.

I'm staying home. I did last year and was quite happy with that. You'll probably make a lot of money in the next three nights!

I have a friend who is a waiter at a nice resto I like. He is working NYE and knows he'll rake it in. You should SEE the menu, WOW!!

What's the plan for the pups? Are you keeping them?

Have never been much of a NYE reveller, have usually always worked or stayed home. My brothers birthday is the 30th so that was always a bigger night out for me.

Yes - they will all stay here with me until they are about 18 months old and ready to race then I will make a decision from there whether to keep them or lease them out for their racing careers.

How much does a racing dog lease out for?

Usually between 20 - 50% of the stake money won, but dogs sell for anything between $1000 - 60,000 depending on how good they are.

So, say a dog has a very promising race career. Is it more lucrative to lease or keep and race?

Keep and race usually, if they are not terrible competitive then it's better to lease them out as you don't have any on going costs with them and if they win a race that's an added bonus.

I get too attached to them though - that's why I have so many

You know you have a good one when people run at you with their cheque books open after you trial them at the track.

Haven't had that happen to me yet
