Good Morning Troops, reporting for duty on New Years Eve. I am looking forward to the new year and that is a great idea to watch the tide going out taking the old year with it. I am wrapping up here, the first morning that I may be able to go for a walk by the beach. Still raining though. To night, Im not doing anything exciting but hopefully just chill out and herald the new year in with Mr Irish.

Morning friends, I am not going to drink tonight. I need to get back on track and there is no time like the present. A walk on the beach sounds a good idea, cant remember the last time I was there. Funny how we slip in and out of habits, be they good or bad, without really realising sometimes.

Thanks Irish, enjoy your walk, it is great to get some cold fresh sea air into our lungs. Clears the mind and refreshes the spirit.

I live less than two miles from the beach and used to take the dogs there regularily, I need to get back into that again. My favorite time to be there is when there is a big storm raging. I love to stand and feel the spray on my face, the pure raw power and infinity of nature. Quite humbling really. Also I usually have the whole beach to myself for miles in either direction, I must be the only looper around.

Hiya team - back from work (yes it was very quiet) it's only quarter past midnight. Most of the NYE revellers must have been at the other pub.

So now I am getting ready for bed and will welcome the new year properly tomorrow.

Starty - I couldn't get that damn photo outta my head, I had a huge giggling session at the supermarket this afternoon - I nearly got committed
It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.
