Evening Bridge & any lurkers,
Yay Ronnie on Day 4 :yay:
Wow there is so much going on with everyone and it's all sounding good.
Bridge, I have the same sugar problems and a friend at work gave me this book today "The Hypoglycemic Connection II (eat your way out of depressiion & fatigue) By Dr George Samra. He is based in Kogarah Sydney she travels to see him every 6 weeks. She swears the man is a genius. I'm going to get a copy next time she goes. She reckons it's only $15. I'f you are interested google 'contact Dr George Samra kogarah' and his number comes up.
On the diet subject - only 2 diets have ever worked for me in my entire life:
- the first was a dietition in Sydney who was treating me for Hyopglycemia (20 years ago) which involved no fat, no sugar but eating small portions of protein & carbs every 2 hours. That worked miracles, I lost heaps weight & was healthiest ever & no mood swings.
- the second was Atkins diet which started off gross (all cheese & meat for 3 days) but quickly becomes mega salad/nut/protein diet. Grazed on nuts & salad all day, at minimum carbs (via salad, veg & fruit). Again, worked miracles, lost heaps weight & became super healthy all of a sudden. People were shocked that I'd 'lost 20 years'Also, from day 3 no cravings for bread OR beer OR sugar! However I don't find it so easy these days to get through those first few induction days.
Anyhoo.. I am rotten at sticking to a diet when stress is involved. I would really like to get back onto a clear routine & get healthy again. When I started this job I was still limping & could not go up stairs, whereas now I'm using the stairs at a good speed & no limp. Tis time to begin Bridgee!!! What about it?
Tawns I reakon you need a tiny wee leprechaun with a tiny wee chainsaw under that ute.
I'm sorry to hear about Hartley... I thought he might turn out alright.. but I've not been about much in other threads.
As for the G spot... I'm sorry, but all those scientists who say it's not there are just a bunch of MEN who are probably not very good lovers. :moon:

A bad penny turning up!
Hi
Tawny Frog kindly invited me in...hope you don't mind.
I am so grateful to be back on MWO after an 18 month abscence. it's wonderful to see old names, especially when i read how well thy have done with their battle against the demon drink. I was once proudly AF for 4 months and thought I would never drink again. But...started to think I could control it and began having a lttle Sav Blanc on a Friday ( just to celebrate the end of the working week, you understand) , then another on Saturday ( just to be social, you understand) , then it crept into Sunday and Monday , etc..... YOU UNDERSTAND...
Now I am back to daily drinking and daily hangovers, I'm spending a fortune and my teenagers are following my example. It's got to stop!!
Thank you for listening to me and letting me rant. It's witching hour and I want to sit on my deck with a crisp, cold wine. BUT, instead I will pop the kettle on and eat chocolate:H
CheersJane

Evening all!
Oh yes, G-spot IS indeed earth moving, no, make that earth SHATTERING, and yep, i have been sighted near the front wall of many a vagina. Myth or reality? Who am i to say? (Gotta watch that scientific papparazzi.)
Bridge, you've no idea how happy that reply has made me. Roolly Trooly.....;-)
Fickopolous and anyone else who feel's like chiming in, I might go for a Compaq presario laptop, 1.8 ghz, 4mb Ram, 250 h/drive, windows 7 premium, for $570 from Officework's. What you reckon overall on balance?

Evening Jane. Welcome back!
Err, excuse my slightly saucy post. I didn't realise we'd be having a guest dropping in,

To late to turn back now G string
Now Miss Fickle.
Thankyou VERY much for that. As it happens I've been re reading my copy of Atkins. It didn't help first time I used it. That's because I was doing it ALL WRONG....*slap forehead*
Here's the interesting part....I am perusing the 'supplements' section of the book....and what should I find but a recommendation for L-Glutamine....citing it as useful for cravings and helpful for alcoholics.....that bloody book was written decades ago....y'know ?
And there are some other really useful bits and bobs. I will review it properly and post some points of interest. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
