    Bloody hot!

    Hi

The heat is on and generally i love it, but thats because I usually counteract it with ice cold beers and sav blancs!! 43 tomorrow and it will be too hot for diversional therapy like the gym. Plan to go to the beach after work and have filled the fridge with pinapple juice.
First day back to work tommorrow and i am looking froward to the routine of the week. Worrying a little about Friday happy hour to celebrate the end of the working week, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
drove to Hamilton yesterday as my daughter is moving there. Such a nice place. Very impressed.

    Ok, goodnight now.

I love this weather! Am working in it, but, s'orrrright. Next weekend, when i have 3 day's off, it will undoubtably puss down.
Was reflecting the other day, whilst relaxing in town over a coffee watching the passing parade, how fantastic and simple the glorious feeling we have when af. For me, i got my control back. No more nosediving at high speed to who know's where. No more rushing around in a red faced, sweaty circle of fooldom. Rushing to no-where. Control is back. There is no fear. There is contentment, and whatever will be, will be. But i can also make things be, and make things happen. It really wouldn't matter to me if i lost my job, and or the roof over my head. I'm fair dinkum. It wouldn't upset me greatly. It would be a major embuggerance, yes, of course. But, i am sober, and i am happy, healthy, 2 arms, 2 leg's, a bit of a brain, and optomistic. These word's are just falling out, and i'm a bit surprised, but somehow, cause i'm sober, i have my power, and i just know all would be well. Me, myself, i, say if i drink or not. Simple really. But sometimes, you've just gotta go for it......;-)
Hello guys, hope you dont mind me popping in. Mr G inspirational post, I wish people starting out on this journey would read your heartfelt words and see what happens when you really give it your all, body and soul. I am delighted for you.

        Morning all,
Thank's KT. Good to see you as alway's. Hope you're travelling well, and the weather eases up very soon for youse.
Nice to see you Jane Rosemary Rees, of 1/571 Lygon st. (gees, i hope that isn't the bloody cemetary!)
Slip slop slap at the beach JR, and maybe devise an 'exit plan' for friday drink's? You know, either don't go, (tell 'em you're getting fit for 2010, not a bad idea JR, so you're off jogging, or at the gym) or, if you can't avoid it, tell 'em you can only stay a short time, sit on a lemon squash, then feck off after 45 mins. Exit plan's and your Toolbox, are essential accessories i suggest. Have a lovely week.

And a lovely, safe, sober week to all.

              I'm baaaack!

Wedding was great - held in a superb garden in Melb. and I was sorry not to have my Blunnies, secateurs and cuttings bag. And yes, Reggie - reception place was fantastic. As I'd booked into the same joint, I snuck off at about 10.30pm and woke to different birds - not maggies but seagulls. They seem to use the same alarm clock. So I sat on the balcony at 6.15am to watch the sun come up and it was just superb. A lot of yacht masts were gently swaying in the foreground; then a stretch of bay and in the background the city buildings were slowly being awoken as the sun turned on a wonderful vertical light display as it reflected in office windows. And bugger me dead - you think it can't get any better - and you look up and see six hot air balloons hanging in the air, seemingly motionless.

Went for a walk along the pier hoping to see some yachties doing their stuff but they seem to be late starters. Kept walking for a while and bugger me dead - find there's a Farmer's Market on that day. So I manage to buy some really good bread, some blue vein, brie and washed rind cheese, some goat meat and a pack of mixed stone fruits. I am a happy camper!

And bugger me dead - you think it can't get any better - I find a place on the pier that sells freshly-shucked oysters . I buy half a dozen and fang them, right there, on the pier, with the lemon wedges provided. I also buy a kilo of mussels to take home. What a day!

I was back home in my land-locked part of Vic. by noon. It was 42C but I didn't care. I had mussels to steam. With saffron, chili and garlic!!

Today, right now it's still 42C and I so wish I'd bloody booked an extra day or six just to be near some water.

                      Your day sounds magical Ronnos!

Hi Sky! Re your personal paper's etc. Couldn't you soak them overnight in a pot of water, ink will dissolve/blur/smudge, hence no legible detail's, then recycle. Put excess water in car radiator, or onto some weeds?

I tried. I gave a heap of them a bath to see what would happen. They got wet. That's all. Everything was still legible. Go figure. Bring back the days of the fountain pen. The paper didn't even start to disintegrate. Tried screwing bits of paper into balls to see if that would do any good. No.

                      But thanks for the idea.

As for the BBQ idea Bridge, I have managed to FILL a wheelie bin.

                      Ronnie, cannot afford a shredder.

                            Evening all!
Still 42c here! 36c tomorrow apparently.
Hi Sky. You may just have to tear up your name/address, put that in rubbish, and the rest ripped up, and into recycle bin? Is 3 Mile island near you? If so, nuke 'em.....

Angel, no, of course that's not Jane's address. We wouldn't know each other from a bar of soap, and i'm sure she will find me sufficiently strange enough now, to keep it that way......;-) I just had to laugh at the full name as a handle. My silly little brain thought why not also add an address and ph. no. Not that i'm laughing at your handle at all Jane. Not at all.

Pump it up Ronnie! Af is the way to go, say's he who is not biased!

Ah Hornos. All i can say is..........................................Classy chic mate!

Hi Rag's! I'm fine with the heat. Doesn't bother me too much. But it's bloody hot, and for the many without, and/or can't afford aircon, it's dangerous.
