    Alcohol Names-

    I'm curious why some of you actually have names of drinks as your user names? I find it sort of strange. I'm sorry if that sounds judgmental, I don't mean it too. But it seems to me, that if you want a "new start" you should give yourself a new AF label! No? Words have resonance, and every time you look at it you are defining yourself as that instead of who you are trying to be?

    Or maybe it works in reverse.. You need that name to remind you who you are NOT trying to be?

    Mine would be awful. It would be SilverPatronShotsGirl (yeah, only the finest for this binge drinker). Just reading that makes me want to puke!

      Hi MauMcl , Welcome to mwo!

      Well my first user name was Teardrop ,because dealing with my emotions and feelings....its not a AL name, but it what the AL does to you!

      I choose catch, by the of chance watch a film a man called catch just like the name, anyway i added 22, because.....a no-win situation, but like you said it works in reverse, so deep down i want it to be a Win-Win Stuation.

      Also in 1970 a war film from the book by Joseph Heller a man is trying desperately to be certified insane during world war11, so he can stop flying missions...(catch22) so there a bit of history in my user name as well !!!

      well done on 4 days hope your mood is better today, im on day 2 !

        My first name was Tiredofcrying. Because I was, tired of crying. As I healed I changed the name and now my name is my children's name combined. I think some folks choose their drink of choice because that is what got them on this site.

          Fresh squeezed orange juice! I love the stuff, and congrats on your 4 days!

          I'm also clueless as to why people name themselves after booze. It's kinda the last thing I want to be reminded of. I'd probably be Vodka#9346. No thanks!
