    Army Thread 16th Jan

It's a crappy ole day over here - so will do insidey stuff, repairing blankets etc. Plus I'm waiting on a call from a man who wants to buy one of my dogs (hopefully for a lot of $$$$)
It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

Weather is shite here too (I know you will find that hard to believe) but tomorrow is supposed to be a bit better, I hope I can get out then. I go stir crazy if I am in too much.

I sure my friend has the hangover on DVD so I might borrow that off her and watch it tonight.

I discussed me being an alkie with my man friend last night - that's the first person other than you lot who I have told. It actually went okay, he didn't run out the door or anything

He knows I don't drink anymore - but didn't realise how much I did drink (surprise surprise) when he first met me. I was telling him about a weekend I had years ago and mentioned being shickered and he said "but you don't drink", so I just explained a bit of how much I did actually drink.

we get on very well and have shared quite a lot of personal stuff

Dad of course knows I was an alkie but we have never really discussed it with him, he just says how proud he is of me everytime he sees me and he asks if I am still off the drink.

                Mum still offers me al.?

I think its so important to be able to talk to someone as well as having the lust stuff.

Her father was an alkie, and she always used to say I had a problem way before I actually did. Now she hasn't mentioned it at all.

Ahh, she is probably one of these people who thinks that once youve got a bit of sobriety under your belt you are able to have just the one. Well as long as it doesnt drive you mad or tempt you when she offers I suppose there are worse things
I am off to Bedford now, had a late night last night and eyes are drooping so will catch you on the morrow. Have a great day Zeppers x

the difference could be that I am sober - don't think I've ever had a relationship that didn't start with me being absolutely sloshed and talking a load of rubbish.
