    HEY WAKE UP

Hi there and I'm sorry I haven't been around lately.. Mary Anne has hit deeply in my soul .. there were so many times I wish I pray for death .. but every time the good Lord above wasn't ready to have me .. I know in life ..there are so many things that go wrong and you just want to give in and quit and say enough is enough .. but in life there will always have its good and bad days ..more good we all hope and they do come .. and I know there are times we all forget the ones and all the people that love us Thur depression and AL and we lose so many good friends to this ..and I hope this sounds right.. but now is the time to really think about what and how you can change the things in your life and remember that there is help out there .. I know a lot of us don't like asking for help .. me for one but I have learned to open up and start talking and asking .. and well reach out to someone, anyone that will listen ..talk about it before you get that far that
there's no return .. life is short, stop and think and ask for help..
we are here for one another ..lets make it together
:beach: life does change as long as you are willing to change yourself ..
best thing about the future it comes one day at a time..

Thank's Tirgs, I am really making the effort now, it was a wake up call, it's hard day 3 now for me, the day I usually cave in on and it is the time I usually start thinking about having a drink now, but I have had so much support here today I can make it tonight and hopefully tomorrow too,It's the first time I have asked anyone for help, but it's been amazing, thank you.

This song just seems appropriate here. Thank you, T. This tragedy has stirred a lot of memories for a memories for many of us.

            Mary Anne's progress (cowgal)

I just got back from the hospital. She is really moving around, like she wants to get out of bed. She said "I love you" presumably to the nurse, but no one is sure. There were 5 or 6of us in the ICU and all the stimulus seemed to be working her up, so the nurse kicked us all out so MA would calm down and get some rest. All the EEG doctor would say was that she's getting better every day, which was not appreciated by all of us, since it was a master of the obvious kind of statement. She's obviously irritated by the tube up her nose, as she's trying to rub it out on the blankets. They're going to give her a swallow test today, and if it works they'll remove the tube and start giving her some liquids orally. So I guess the news is as good as we could have hoped. We all just hope she suffers no permanent brain damage. That's the big question now.

Thanks to all of you who care so much. I felt very lonely the first couple of days, but knowing you are all out there, that I can report what I'm seeing and feeling has helped me a lot too.

Thank you so much for letting us know what is happening. It is a very helpless feeling when you love someone and know they are suffering and there is no way to let them know how much you care. Even worse when you are in the dark as to what they are going through, so your post is greaatly appreciated. And my prayers for you too as i know how hard it is to see aloved one in that condition.

VC-Thank you so much for the great update....I just know that Mary Anne will be okay - there are so many people praying for her and counting on her. She is such a lovely person. Try to get some rest so you can be strong for her when she wakes.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
