Hi Mario, I was sorry to read about your friend yesterday. Its a stark reminder to us all of where we could end up isnt it?
At work there is a chap who seems to be heading that way. He is just a bag of bones, no self care left at all. Yet he is such a kind, intelligent and gentle man, I wish something would click for him. He is only 28 too, its so very sad.

yes starts,once again it was very sad. its only since i have become alcohol free that i have seen what alcohol does to people,And meeting other old friends,i am sorry to say,they dont look to healthy either.

Yesterday I was at a family lunch, there was 1 bottle of wine and that wasnt even finished. I couldnt believe it! When I was drinking no way would that have been the case. Also on Friday I went for a drink with a friend who often used to match me drink for drink. When left to her own devices she nursed 2 drinks all evening.

yes starts its great when the old devils buttermilk doesent even tempt you,i was surrounded by pints of guinness yesterday but my cups of tea knocked them for six
